Set on the white sand beach of Zanzibar's east coast is this Resort Villas. An assortment of one and two-bedroom villas, this resort is an idyllic retreat offering plenty of privacy for both couples and families. Thanks to its enviable location, the Resort is perfect for those looking to combine activity, culture, and of course relaxation on the beach, which is just metres away.
Six villas make up the accommodation at the Resort, each individually designed and decorated. All six can be hired exclusively for larger groups of family or friends, accommodating a maximum of 18 guests, or on an individual basis. Villas vary in size and feature a unique blend of architectural styles, some offering secluded rooftop plunge pools, while others display tall, traditional cathedral windows. Natural tones are interspersed with pops of colour, ensuring rooms are bright and welcoming, and the surrounding tropical gardens offer guests the utmost privacy. Each villa offers a kitchen, lounge and dining area, and guests are able to dine here thanks to the resident chef who can cook in-villa dishes, made to order.
Although each villa has its own living area, the Resort provides a charming central dining area located around the main pool. Here traditional Tanzanian dishes are served, using local ingredients inspired by Swahili cuisine. Of course no stay in Zanzibar would be complete without sampling some delicious locally-caught seafood - it doesn't get any fresher than this!
Accommodation
The Resort has six individual villas, each with either one or two bedrooms. The villas are all uniquely designed, and each contains a living area, kitchen and private plunge pool. Bathrooms contain double basins, as well as providing an outdoor shower. Rooms are decorated with light colours and a muted palette, ensuring each feels bright and airy.
Umande - Dewdrop
Umande is a cosy one-bedroom villa surrounded by a luscious tropical garden. Secluded and hidden away, this villa is ideal for couples.

Alfajiri - The Dawn
A one-bedroom villa with private lounge and dining area
downstairs and a spacious bedroom and private balcony on the first
floor. During the day, guests can enjoy the view of the Indian Ocean
through the tropical garden; in the evening, lights in the tree make
every night a special occasion. Private and intimate, it is the perfect
villa for honeymooners or couples in love.
Kimwondo - Shooting Star
A two-storey, one-bedroom villa, Kimwondo displays some of Xanadu's most unique architecture. The ground floor contains the bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and upstairs, the terraced lounge and rooftop plunge pool await. Private rooftop dining is available.
The architect's favourite, this one-bedroom villa features the most
unique design, a downstairs bedroom as well as a plunge pool and dining
facilities on the roof top, perfect for moonlit dinners or romantic
star gazing.
Korongo & Mlima
These two-bedroom sister villas are the perfect hideaway for families. Each has a spacious living and dining area, and each master bedroom has a large en-suite and its own private entrance.
Our sister villas, each sleeping 2 or 4 guests in two bedrooms, are
ideal for friends and families, as they offer super-sized living and
dining areas, private plunge pools, outdoor showers and luscious garden
surroundings.
Mbingu - Heavenly Sky
Mbingu is the two-bedroom presidential suite, occupying four storeys. The first bedroom is found on the first floor, along with its own private sea-view balcony. On the next floor, the master suite takes pride of place. Finally, the top floor contains a secluded rooftop pool offering beautiful ocean views.
The presidential suite with its unique domes, balconies and private pools has two bedrooms and spacious living areas opening out to the garden plunge pool, with direct beach access. The master room is on the first floor houses a master room with ensuite and a private sea view balcony, and the master suite is located in the penthouse. A final tier to the very private rooftop pool within a custom dome and views of the garden and the Indian Ocean finishes this true architectural masterpiece.

Location
Just a one-hour drive from Stone Town, the Resort is located near Dongwe on Zanzibar's east coast.
Zanzibar can be reached by air (international airlines Oman Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Condor, and FlyDubai fly directly to Zanzibar's Kisauni airport), or by sea (various ferry connections from Dar es Salaam of approximately 2 hours).
Private charter flights from Dar to Zanzibar can be arranged for groups by Coastal Aviation (www. coastal.cc).
In addition, private boat charters are available, including traditional dhow boats or motor boats.
From the ferry port and the airport, it is just over an hour's scenic drive across the island to the Resort on the South East coast (Bwejuu/Dongwe). The Resort can arrange taxis as well as private pick up from ferry, airport and/or anywhere on the island.
The nearest airport is Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, 57 km from the property.
When to go
Zanzibar is a year round destination but it can rain heavily in April.
February is the hottest month, and June to October is cooler and dry.

The Resort closes from 15th April until 31st May during the main rain season.

The Resort comprises of six villas in total, each with a unique set up and
architecture. Every villa has a plunge pool, private butler, outside
shower, bathroom(s) with his & her sinks, linen and towels provided,
daily housekeeping and laundry service, Internet/Wi-Fi, lounge &
kitchen with fridge, beach access.
Each villa is serviced by a private butler. A resident chef is also available to prepare in-villa meals made to order according to guests' tastes. Meals can be taken in villa or on private rooftop terraces.
