Guided by one of the Hotel's expert Chinese Culture Ambassadors, you?ll follow in the footsteps of Lung King Heen's Executive Chef Chan Yan Tak'the first Chinese chef to earn three Michelin stars'on a culinary exploration of the city. Your tour begins behind the scenes in the world-class Lung King Heen kitchen, where you'll watch authentic Cantonese dim sum, the restaurant's specialty, being prepared. Next you'll venture through vibrant Kowloon, where Chef Tak grew up and where he still finds his culinary inspiration, and sample an array of local Cantonese foods along the way. Your epicurean afternoon culminates back at the award-winning Lung King Heen restaurant: Savour a delicious meal there from a special menu selected just for you by Chef Tak himself.

Outdoor Activities
Spend quality time with your family, all the while getting in touch with nature, by exploring Hong Kong's fascinating outdoors. Seek out a new running or walking trail, take a kayak out on the water, or witness a flock of migratory birds.

Tai O
Tai O is famous for its seafood market, which remains one of the locals' favourite places to buy their fresh and dried seafood. We recommend strolling through the market and then riding on a boat to spot the rare and playful Chinese White Dolphins, an endangered species.

Dragon's Back Hiking Trail
If there is a "Best of Hong Kong" hike, look no further than the undulating ridge known as Dragon's Back.  Take in unsurpassed views of Shek O, Stanley and Tai Tam.  Bring your bathing suit along to celebrate finishing the hike with a dip in Big Wave Bay.

Saikung
Getting to the most pristine white sandy beaches of Hong Kong requires a bit of effort, but it is worth every step. Hike 45 minutes inland on the famed MacLehose trail to reach the clear waters and soft sand of Long Ke Wan.

Golf
For golfing we recommend the Hong Kong Golf Club, which opened in 1889 and is recognized as one of the world's most exclusive golf clubs. The Club has a 9-hole course in Deep Water Bay on Hong Kong Island and three 18-hole golf courses in Fanling, New Territories.

Mai Po Nature Reserve

Peak Circle Walk
High above the harbour, combine a workout with sightseeing. The highest peak in Hong Kong offers intoxicating views at twilight when the skyscrapers? lights start glowing in the dark

GM's Jogging Route
An avid runner, General Manager Christoph Schmidinger gets a great workout by heading for the hills. To follow his route: From the Hotel, head straight through Central and up the Mid-levels escalator. At the top of the escalator head left on Conduit Road. Follow Conduit as it veers right to become Hornsey and eventually turns into the steeply twisting Old Peak Road.  Reward your hard work with Hong Kong's best view at the top

Lamma Island
Go on the Family Walk on Lamma Island which affords stunning hikes and is relatively non-challenging.
The route starts at one main ferry pier at Yung Shue Wan Village on Lamma Island and goes across the island to another ferry pier in Sok Kwu Wan Village on the southeast part of the island. You may be thrilled to know that no cars are allowed on the island!

Kayak
Sai Kung, with its white sand beaches and sea arches, offers the perfect place for kayaking. Another great kayaking spot is Tolo Harbour as it is sheltered from any sea swells and surrounded by photogenic green peaks. The Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre in Tai Po offers one-day training courses to equip you for the open water.

Trailwalker's Training Route
Our Hotel's trailwalker power team starts their practice for the annual Oxfam Trailwalker Event early, around May and June every year. Check out these fantastic trails they highly recommend: The Maclehose Trail, Lantau Peak and Pat Sin Leng. Or visit our recommended website for the best Hong Kong hikes.

Deep Sea Fishing
It is a well kept secret that the South China Sea surrounding Hong Kong offers outstanding fishing opportunities for the recreational fisherman. Organize your sport fishing excursion by using any of the chartered fishing boat services available in Hong Kong.

Mai Po Bird Spotting
Every winter, around 90,000 migratory birds take refuge in the marshes and mudflats of the internationally acclaimed Mai Po Nature Reserve. The territory is at its best from September to May when passage migrants and winter visitors can be seen.

Golfing
There are six golf clubs and ten golf courses in Hong Kong. For any golfers serious about taking Hong Kong golf lessons, the Hong Kong Golf School is recommended. For seasoned golfers, you may head straight to the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club or the Hong Kong Golf Club, both are world-class golf courses just a car ride away from the Hotel.
