Overview
Comprising a delightfully spacious L-shaped living and dining room with an integrated kitchenette for guest use (in addition to the main service kitchen, which is the domain of the chef), the villa is decorated with an exciting collection of colourful paintings, murals and sculptures, including an fascinating futuristic sculpture of a ship suspended from the ceiling. From the living area, floor-to ceiling glass doors slide open to a private swimming pool and sundeck. The two interconnected bedrooms are located upstairs. Each is furnished with a king-size bed that converts to twins, and equipped with audio-visual facilities. Each is adjoined by its own private stylish bathroom with a walk-in rain shower.
The villa is well suited for a group of four friends or a small family, who will be well looked after by a professional team of full-time staff including a manager, butlers, housekeeping, 24-hour security, a car and driver, and a private chef.
Canggu is fast evolving into Bali's hippest beachside scene, with a laid-back vibe, numerous eateries, vibrant live music venues, yoga studios, spas and some chic beachwear boutiques all just five minutes' drive from the villa.
Villa Canggu North adjoins the four-bedroom Villa Canggu South, yet can be rented as an independent villa due to the provision of retractable garden walls. If all six bedroom are rented together, the garden walls can be opened to create a luxurious space with two pools, two living and dining rooms and interconnecting doors.
Accommodation
Villa Canggu North's entranceway takes guests into a large L-shaped living and dining space. From here, sliding glass doors lead out to the sun terrace and pool, where comfortable loungers await. Upstairs are two interconnected bedrooms, each with a private ensuite bathroom.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Each of Villa Canggu North's two air-conditioned, upstairs guestrooms is equipped with a 21-inch satellite-channel TV, DVD player, an iPod dock, and a safe deposit box. Adjoining each room is a private bathroom with rain shower. These rooms are ideal for a family as they are interconnected by sliding doors, and each is furnished with a king-size bed that can be converted to twins. Kids will love the futuristic hand-painted wall murals.

Indoor living
Not many living rooms are be big enough to accommodate a massive suspended sculpture of a ship, complete with moving parts, but the owners of the villa are passionate about art, and much of their private collection is displayed in this gallery-like, L-shaped room, which also incorporates a dining table, kitchenette and lounge area with sofas arranged around a TV and entertainment centre. Sliding glass doors lead from here to the sundeck and pool.
Outdoor living
The villa opens to an outdoor space dominated by an eight-metre pool bordered by a timber sun deck furnished with loungers and umbrellas. This outdoor area maintains its privacy from neighbouring four-bedroom Villa Canggu South thanks to a retractable wall between the two gardens.

Staff & Services
One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personalised service provided by a dedicated team of staff. Villa Canggu's staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality. The staff can be reached via the villa's internal phone system.
Villa manager
Villa's Canggu's friendly manager has worked at the property since 2006 and knows everything there is to know about the villa and its surrounding area. He is responsible for the overall operation of the villa and his job is to oversee and coordinate the staff and property and to assist guests during their stay. He also speaks impeccable English.
Chef
The villa's skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children's priced menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.
Butlers
The villa's butlers are on hand to take care of their guests' every need. Their duties also include daily housekeeping and domestic chores.
Garden staff
A gardener maintains Villa Canggu's lush gardens and a man comes in as often as necessary to maintain the swimming pool.
Security
A security guard provides night-time security from the main gate.

Location
Villa Canggu North sits 100 metres from the beach in a local village neighbourhood. A few hundred metres in either direction along the beach will bring you to a few popular beach bars and small restaurants, especially around sunset time. Check out Old Man?s restaurant, bar and live music venue a short walk up the beach to the north, as well as the well-known Echo Beach for daily barbecues and Sunday-night live music. If you are interested in learning to surf, High Tide Surf School (for kids and adults) is situated just five minutes' walk up the beach at Batu Bolong. Nelayan Beach immediately in front of the villa is also popular with surfers.

Activities
Villa Canggu's manager will have a wealth of information about nearby places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the local area. Many of them live nearby and will be able to give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of Bali life.
In the meantime, here is a taste of the many and varied activities on offer within reach of the villa.
- Villa Canggu is close to the famous temple at Tanah Lot, although in peak season a few too many tourists may transform a sunset visit into more of a heaving photo opportunity than a moving experience. Visiting early in the morning (8-9am) provides a better idea of the power of the location and the chance to see it undisturbed apart from perhaps an offering ceremony.
- A nice sunset alternative is to head down to Echo Beach where a number of cafes offer good sunset views and cold beer. Note that the beach here is dark sand and the waters are better suited to surfing, having a pronounced swell and rip, rather than children's swimming. Hotel Tugu, a very stylish and eclectic boutique hotel on the coast, a few minutes closer to the villa, is also a good sunset spot.
- Fashionistas, trendies and shop-a-holics should hot-foot it down to Seminyak, Bali's most cosmopolitan enclave. Here, you can indulge for hours in the glut of stylish, chic boutiques. There is a wide choice of fine dining, mid range, and cheap ?n cheerful restaurants in Seminyak too: fine dining venues include Sarong, the famous Ku Dé Ta, Mama San, La Lucciola, Merah Putih, Sardine and Métis.
- Play a round at the unbelievably scenic Nirwana Bali Golf Course. Bordered by ocean and rice fields and just down from Tanah Lot sea temple, no wonder this championship-standard course (designed by golf legend, Greg Norman) is frequently voted number one in Asia.
- Drive westwards to explore the charming Tabanan regency, revealing terraced rice fields of emerald green, volcanic mountains and black-sand beaches dotted with fishing communities. Or head north to explore the volcanic lakes near the mountain town of Bedugul, including Lake Bratan with its photogenic and stunningly positioned Pura Ulun Danu ? one of Bali's most important temples.
- Covering 3.8 hectares of tropical parkland in Kuta, Waterbom Bali has 16 water slides (including The Climax with its 360 degree loop) to entertain the young and the young at heart. A great family day out, but go early to beat the crowds.
- Bali Treetop Adventure Park is near the town of Bedugal in northern central Bali (next to Lake Bratan). Five adventure circuits, with heights ranging from two to 20 metres, challenge all level and ages on suspended bridges, spider nets, Tarzan jumps and 12 flying foxes.
- Explore the scenic rice-field landscape and rural villages; a great way to get under the skin of the ?real' Bali. Stop off at a local warung (café) to sample some basic Balinese fare or cool off with a cold drink.
- Have a go at riding the local ponies at Bali Equestrian Center. See the beaches and beautiful landscapes of Bali from a different perspective.

Dining
Your personal chef at Villa Canggu is at your service to prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is included in the villa rate while all other snacks and meals can be ordered from a priced menu offering a wide array of Western and Asian, vegetarian and children?s dishes. The chef is also happy to tailor meals to suit special requests and dietary needs. Off-menu items are charged at cost price plus a 30% surcharge, tax and service.Meals can be a simple affair, a poolside barbecue, or a grand banquet according to your whims. We recommend that you try some of the chef's special Indonesian and Balinese dishes for a true cultural experience.
Spa

Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.
Body scrub
A full body scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your skin leaving it soft and smooth. A rejuvenating scrub combines an abrasive material such as salt, coffee, rice bran or pecan hulls with essential oils to remove any impurities and make your skin glow.
Manicure/pedicure
Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve. Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.
The Canggu Club
As well as having access to their own exclusive leisure facilities at the villa, guests also benefit from complimentary guest membership at Bali"s premier private members club, The Canggu Club, for the duration of their stay.This family-orientated club luxuriates across 4,000 square metres of land in amongst the picturesque rice fields of Canggu.
