- If you are a bold and brave bargain hunter, visit Denpasar's vibrant markets, where everything and anything is available. At Pasar Badung, Bali's largest and oldest market, you'll find meat, vegetables, and spices. Not for the fainthearted! Kumbasari Market specialises in paintings, handicrafts, souvenirs, artefacts, clothes, fabrics, and gold, and Jalan Sulawesi is the place for textiles ? but you'll need to shake off the commission hunters offering to be your guide.
- You could eat out at a different restaurant in Seminyak every night ? for months ? and still not run out of options. Jalan Laksmana (also known as Jalan Oberoi and Jalan Kayu Aya) is Bali's fashionable ?Eat Street', offering plenty of high-end restaurants including
- Sarong and Nutmegs at Hu'u Bar. La Lucciola Restaurant is great for sunset drinks, as is The Breeze at The Samaya. While Ku Dé Ta is still the place to see and be seen, two new beachclubs, Cocoon and Potato Head, are classy seaside alternatives. Then there's La

A short taxi to Kerobokan will bring you to Sardine and Métis (from the owners of former and fabulous Kafé Warisan) and Naughty Nuri's Batubelig (a franchise of the original in Ubud) famous for BBQ ribs and wicked Martinis. Mid-range dining options here include Wah Wah Gourmet Burger Winebar which specialises in sassy burgers with sexy connotations, and numerous other cheap ?n cheerful options.
- There are several surf schools in Bali, mainly based in and around Kuta and Legian, where young and old(er) can learn to surf or brush up on their skills.
- Desa Seni at Berawa Beach, is an eco-friendly village resort providing an authentic Indonesian experience through the exploration of culture, art and yoga. The resort offers a wide variety of yoga classes and also has its own spa.
- It's possible to walk the grey sands of Seminyak's Petitenget beach all the way to Kuta in the south, or north to Canggu. The beach is more popular with locals than tourists (not safe for swimming in most sections), but is a great spot for building sandcastles or to watch the sunset as you sip a cocktail from one of the many beachside bars.

Additional Notes
Families
The family friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus ? and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.The team of friendly staff at Villa Jemma will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).
Although the equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily to do this for you ? just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or chef and they will take care of the rest. Pancakes by the pool for breakfast? Toasties for tea? No problem. The chef can customise all meals to suit children's taste buds.
Don't worry about packing all that cumbersome kids' equipment for your stay. Just let us know what you need, and anything we don't have in-house (villa facilities include a baby cot, highchair, children's cutlery and crockey, DVDs and games) we can hire on your behalf
Dining
The personal chef at Villa Jemma is at your service to prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. The villa offers an extensive suggestion menu of delicious home-style meals featuring Asian and international dishes to cater to all tastes, with an excellent selection of vegetarian and children's options. The chef is also more than happy to tailor meals to accommodate any special dietary requirements, including gluten-free menus, and a stay is not complete without sampling his fantastic tapas selection over a glass of wine or two.
Breakfast is provided free of charge on a daily basis for all guests.
SPA
Feel like a body scrub or massage? Just ask our staff to bring the spa to you! We can recommend deluxe treatments carried out in the privacy of your own villa by fully trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply). Here's a sample of what's on the menu:Massage
Release built up tension with a traditional Balinese massage by the pool or in the relaxation balé. Using a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oils to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, you will feel totally relaxed in no time.
Foot reflexology
Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.
Body scrub
A full body scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your skin leaving it soft and smooth. A rejuvenating scrub combines an abrasive material such as salt, coffee, rice bran or pecan hulls with essential oils to remove any impurities and make your skin glow.
Manicure/pedicure
Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve. Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.
