Overview
Kalimaya II is a beautiful two-bedroom private pool villas, which sit side-by-side within the Kalimaya family of villas. These two-storey air conditioned residences are the mirror image of each other in terms of their layout, has it's own personality and sense of style. Both are lovingly furnished, and feature king-size bedrooms with marble ensuites, fully-equipped open-plan kitchens, living rooms on both floors, a private swimming pool with a spa and each have an infra-red. The villa is set within lush tropical gardens that feature traditional thatched balés, the ideal spot to relax whilst overlooking the sparkling blue pool water, surrounded by beautiful Balinese water fountains.
Accommodation
Both Kalimaya II and III are the mirror image of each other with respect to their layout. Entering via traditional wooden doors, guests are transported into a blossoming tropical garden with its breathtaking aqua blue sparkling swimming pool, around which the villa is arranged. The ground floor contains the open-plan kitchen and dining room, lounge room and one of the spacious master bedrooms with glass doors that open onto the garden and pool area. The second bedroom upstairs opens onto a terrace as well as an upstairs lounge and entertainment room. The property's feature a private balé and an outdoor infrared sauna.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
Villa Kalimaya II have two beautiful air conditioned bedrooms featuring luxurious four-poster beds. The downstairs rooms have full-length glass doors that can be opened up to view the tropical garden and pool area, whilst the upstairs rooms open out onto the terrace ? giving them a wonderful sense of light, space and freshness. All bedrooms are equipped with a TV and DVD player, and all of the upstairs rooms are fitted with an iPod dock and bar fridge. All of the bedrooms in Kalimaya II have adjoining marble ensuites which feature large bathtubs and rain showers.
Living & Dining Areas
Villa Kalimaya II boast three fantastic indoor living areas including two living rooms - one up and one down - which can be opened to allow guests to embrace the warm tropical breezes or closed for absolute air conditioned comfort.
Each of the living rooms is equipped with satellite TV and a DVD player and with the added bonus of having spectacular surround-sound, these rooms can become your very own home cinema.
As with the living areas, the dining room, which directly overlooks the garden and pool, can be opened to give a sense of indoor/outdoor living or closed for comfortable, temperature-controlled dining.
Grab an icy-cold beer and enjoy a chat at the kitchen bar overlooking the pool or settle in for cocktails followed by a meal on the upstairs terrace, surrounded by vibrant bougainvillea, and watch the sun set on a perfect Balinese evening
The private walled garden with its glistening swimming pool surrounded by tropical palm trees and aromatic frangipanis forms the centerpiece of this villa. The villa's outside decking has lounge chairs and umbrellas under which you can luxuriate, catching the sun or reading a book, while also being able to watch the kids paddle in the pool.
The covered balé at the end of the pool is an ideal spot to relax and rejuvenate and can also be used for a traditional Balinese massage. For the health conscious, there are infrared saunas in both Kalimaya II, ideal for rejuvenating and improving your wellbeing.

One of the greatest advantages of staying in a villa is the personal service provided by a dedicated team of professional staff. Each of the team have been thoughtfully recruited according to their skills and personality and their aim is to look after every villa guest ? from toddler to grandparent ? by understanding individual expectations and preferences. The villa manager, and chef in particular, will be only too delighted to discuss your desires or concerns and do what they can to guarantee a relaxed and enjoyable holiday. All four villas are served by the following staff:
Full-time manager
The full-time villa manager is on call 24 hours and is responsible for the overall operation of Villa Kalimaya II. Fluent in English and Indonesian, our villa manager is in charge of staffing, special requests and guest satisfaction. There is no request too big or too small that our manager, assisted by an assistant manager, cannot handle.
Full-time chef
Our in-house chef has years of experience cooking both Asian and Western meals. He is happy to accommodate any special requests or dietary needs. Dinner parties and other special events can also be catered for.
Butlers & housekeeping
Three butlers and three housekeeping staff attend daily to all cleaning and tidying requirements at Villa Kalimaya. The same team are skilled waiters/waitresses and will assist the kitchen at mealtimes.
Gardeners and pool attendants
The gardens and pools at Villa Kalimaya are tended daily by two staff.
Security
Villa Kalimaya II is kept safe and secure 24 hours a day by six trained security staff working rotating shifts.

Villa Kalimaya II is located in the absolute heart of Seminyak, within short walking distance from some of the best known and iconic restaurants and bars on the island. Ku De Ta and Potato Head are literally at your doorstep and it's just a stroll to the gorgeous beachside restaurant La Lucciola and the hot new dining favourite with both locals and expats, Petitenget. Take some time and explore some of the world-class boutiques and fabulous contemporary art galleries.
If you're into surfing then the beach is just a few minutes away and boasts some serious world-class breaks and brilliant sunsets. Don't miss out on a visit to Pura Petitenget, the fourth largest temple in Bali, where spectacular Balinese ceremonies may often be witnessed.

Your villa manager has a wealth of information about places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the area too. Most will live nearby and can give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of local Bali life. In the meantime, here's a taste of the many and varied activities on offer within reach of Villa Kalimaya:
- Blessed with the best location in Bali, Villa Kalimaya is just around the corner from the famous ?eat street' and only 2 minutes walk from Ku De Ta, Seminyak Square and the new uber-hip Motel Mexicola. Fashionistas, trendies, shop-a-holics and foodies will be in heaven ? with the villas being right in the middle of Seminyak, Bali's most cosmopolitan enclave. Here, you can indulge for hours in the wealth of stylish, chic boutiques and international restaurants and bars including W Hotel, Potato Head Beach Club, La Lucciola and newcomer Petitenget. For furniture, antiques and homeware stores go for a wander around the streets of nearby Kerobokan.
- Book a dynamic in-villa private yoga session with an Australian teacher or a private salsa lesson with Made, the best salsa dancer on the island.
- Enjoy a Balinese cooking class with our in-house chef and buy you wine from the villa cellar at wholesale prices.
- The villa is close to the famous sea temple at Tanah Lot (16.5km). Although renowned for its sunset vistas, going early in the morning provides a better idea of the power of the location and the chance to see it undisturbed, apart from perhaps an offering ceremony.
- A nice sunset alternative is to head down to Echo Beach (11km) where a number of cafés offer good sunset views and cold beer. Hotel Tugu, a very stylish and eclectic boutique hotel a few minutes further down the coast is also a good sunset spot. Note that the beach along this section of the coast is dark volcanic sand and the waters are better suited to surfing than swimming.
- Play a round at the unbelievably scenic Nirwana Bali Golf Course. Bordered by ocean and rice fields and just down from Tanah Lot sea temple, no wonder this championship-standard course (designed by golf legend, Greg Norman) is frequently voted number one in Asia.
- Drive westwards to explore the charming Tabanan Regency, revealing terraced rice fields of emerald green, volcanic mountains and black-sand beaches dotted with fishing communities. Or head north to explore the volcanic lakes near the mountain town of Bedugul, including Lake Bratan with its photogenic and stunningly positioned Pura Ulun Danu ? one of Bali's most important temples.
- Get up to some monkey business at Bali Treetop Adventure Park (53km) (next to Lake Bratan). Five adventure circuits, with heights ranging from two to 20 metres, challenge all level and ages on suspended bridges, spider nets, tarzan jumps and 12 flying foxes.
- With its warm seas, almost year-round season, relatively uncrowded beach and reef breaks and suitability for all levels of experience, Bali surfing is world renowned. The beaches of Canggu (11km) are known for their world-class surf breaks, offering exposed reef breaks with consistent surf. May to October (dry season) is the favoured time for waves.
- If you are a bold and brave bargain hunter, a spree within the heart of Bali's bustling provincial capital is an exciting and rewarding experience. Visit the vibrant Denpasar markets, where everything and anything is available.
- Covering 3.8 hectares of tropical parkland in Kuta, Waterbom Bali (9km) has 16 water slides (including The Climax with its 360 degree loop) to entertain the young and the young at heart. A great family day out, but go early to beat the crowds.

Families
The family-friendly advantages of a villa holiday are many, including access to your own private facilities and the freedom to use them whenever you want. Knowing that the kids can run around happily, independently and safely, without you having to worry about other guests, is a real plus - and one that means parents are certain to have a more relaxed holiday too.Villa Kalimaya is a great villa for families. The villa manager can hire a pool fence on request (extra charge applies). If it happens to be a rainy day don't despair, the villas are well equipped with children's DVDs and there is plenty of space for kids to play.
The team of friendly staff at Villa Kalimaya will make children feel as welcome as adults, and having these willing helpers on hand gives guests plenty of flexibility and freedom to do their own exploring beyond the villa grounds (full-time babysitting incurs a small extra cost).
Although the equipped kitchens allow you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily to do this for you ? just talk through your requirements and meal schedules with the villa manager or chef and they will take care of the rest. Banana pancakes by the pool for breakfast? Toasted sandwiches in the TV lounge for lunch? No problem. The chef can customise all meals to suit children's taste buds.
Don't worry about packing all that cumbersome kids' equipment for your stay. Just let us know what you need, and anything we don't have in-house (villa facilities include a baby cot and highchair) we can hire on your behalf
Dining
Our chef is available to cook delicious cuisine from all of the villa's state-of-the-art gourmet kitchens. He can prepare anything from snacks to five-course dinners, special banquets and canapés. Many Western meals are available, but for a unique cultural experience, guests are encouraged to sample some of the local Balinese dishes. The cook will strive to fulfill any special dietary requirements.A BBQ is available for use in all four private villas ? and the in-villa seafood grill with fresh fish, prawns, lobsters and crabs sourced directly from the fish markets at Jimbaran, is highly recommended. Just remember to discuss meals in advance (ideally 24 hours) to allow the chef the time he needs to prepare and source the freshest produce available.
Villa Kalimaya offers a dining service with groceries charged at cost plus 20%. They also have a selection of wines which can be purchased at wholesale prices.
Villa Kalimaya II presents the perfect setting for gatherings and parties. The 12m x 8m swimming pool and large covered bale is a great space for entertaining and holding small gatherings and parties. The extensive lawns are also ideal for open-air Balinese dance performances and to host live bands. Please speak to your villa manager in advance for details and pricing.

At Villa Kalimaya you are spoilt for choice, with some of the best spa's on the island within walking distance from your villa, including 'Bodyworks'. If you don't feel like leaving the privacy of your own villa, no problem ? we can arrange for the spa to come to you. Massages and other spa treatments can be enjoyed in-villa at any time of the day on prior arrangement with your villa manager, by fully-trained therapists from a reputable local spa (extra charges will apply).Balinese massage
Release built up tension with a traditional Balinese massage. Using a combination of gentle stretches, acupressure and aromatherapy oils to stimulate the flow of blood, oxygen and energy around your body, you will feel totally relaxed in no time.
Foot reflexology
Foot reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet which correspond to every part of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes tension is relieved and circulation improved leaving you feeling balanced.
Body scrub
A full body scrub will exfoliate and hydrate your skin leaving it soft and smooth. A rejuvenating scrub combines an abrasive material such as salt, coffee, rice bran or pecan hulls with essential oils to remove any impurities and make your skin glow.
Manicure/pedicure
Our hands and feet work hard for us every day but rarely get the attention they deserve. Treat them to a manicure or pedicure, which usually comes with the added bonus of a quick hand or foot massage.
The Canggu club

The Canggu Club, which opened in 2006 and luxuriates across 4,000 square metres of land set amongst the picturesque rice fields of Canggu, is just ten minutes north of Seminyak. The family-oriented club offers world class sporting facilities, fun activities for the kids, and a choice of venues for dining and relaxing.
A Colonial style clubhouse forms the club's centrepiece. The library offers a quiet, cool haven for reading or working (free WiFi internet access is widely available at the club), while meals, coffee, drinks and sunset cocktails can be enjoyed at a choice of alfresco and air conditioned dining venues. Kids of all ages are specifically catered for at two kids clubs (The Rainbow Room for 2-6 year olds and D'Joglo for 7 years plus) and also at the kids splash pool set amongst the club's lush tropical gardens.
The club arguably has the best sporting facilities in Bali, with a large, well-equipped gym and separate exercise room, a 25-metre swimming pool, a floodlit professionally turfed sports field, and a tennis centre with four tennis courts (two of which are indoor), two air-conditioned squash courts and two table tennis tables.
