Villa Sayang d'Amour - bedroom 1Housed in its own pavilion on the far side of the swimming pool, the enormous master bedroom, a study of light and air, provides guests with a sanctuary that is both opulent and practical. Decorated in pale blues and sea greens, it features a sumptuous canopied king-size bed, Venetian glass dresser, chaise longues, oriental rugs, a writing desk and a daybed strewn with an array of colourful cushions. The ensuite features a magnificent claw footed bath with an overhanging chandelier and shuttered windows to let in the gentle Balinese breezes.

French Kiss room

This spacious bedroom, also located in a stand-alone pavilion within the gardens, features a king-size bed with a romantic canopy as well as a writing desk, sofa and a television with DVD player. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with a freestanding bathtub, double sinks and both an indoor and a secluded outdoor rain shower within a tropical garden.

Love and Romance

The two downstairs guest bedrooms, on either side of the main living area, feature exquisite French-style king-size beds. Antique oriental rugs adorn Moroccan tiled floors, resulting in a timeless charm and elegance. On a more practical note, each of the bedrooms has a writing desk and a superbly comfortable sofa providing the ideal place to relax, read a book or watch television or a DVD. The spacious ensuites feature a statement freestanding bathtub, double sinks, special make up lighting on the mirrors and private outdoor showers surrounded by tropical gardens.

Elegance and Forever

Graceful internal staircases on either side of the living areas lead to the upper floor guest bedrooms, each of which is furnished with a pair of double beds adorned with delicate canopies. These wonderfully spacious rooms feature sofas, television and DVD player making them absolute private havens. Ensuites are fitted with a freestanding bathtub, double sinks and special make-up lighting on the mirrors.

Indoor living

Signature blue and white Moroccan tiles bring a stunning elegance to the villas' astonishingly large, bright and airy lounge, kitchen and dining areas.

Guests can luxuriate on the oversized sofas, enjoy a meal at the dining table for ten, sip a drink at the bar while watching the private chef in action or steal a quiet moment at one of the many intimate seating areas arranged throughout the room. There's even a custom-made dining table for the kids. The French doors which run the length of the dining and lounge area can be opened onto the pool and garden to give a wonderful sense of indoor/outdoor living, or closed to provide absolute air-conditioned comfort.

The villas' gourmet kitchen, with its custom-made fittings, imported French appliances (including a state of the art coffee machine), and stunning collection of tableware, is a delight.

After dinner, the air-conditioned entertainment room, complete with 56-inch flat-screen TV, beckons! Here, guests can make themselves comfortable on the leather sofa and enjoy watching a DVD chosen from the villas extensive private collection.

Outdoor living

Day or night, when it comes to relaxing outdoors at Villa Sayang d'Amour, guests are literally spoilt for choice. With the huge main pool as the central feature, guests can enjoy relaxed poolside dining, with seating for 8 people. Similarly, there are ample deck chairs with umbrellas for those wishing to enjoy some sun and maybe sip on a cocktail or two. The main pool has been modified to include a shallow area for the little ones at one end (30cm depth), as well as a stunning waterfall feature which is sure to keep them amused.

Nestled in a secluded corner away from the pool area, is a romantic covered daybed, sitting under a beautifully scented Frangipani tree.

The Villas' spectacular Tropical rooftop garden area has been immaculately landscaped, and is the ideal place to catch those balmy Bali breezes. Whether it be a ? high-tea' under the gazebo, or cocktails and canapes under the stars ? this outdoor space is sheer perfection.

The team at Villa Sayang d'Amour exude Balinese charm and grace, working together to ensure that your stay is comfortable, relaxed and memorable. The villa manager and chef will be more than happy to discuss any specific requirements with you.

Although the equipped kitchen allows you to prepare meals for fussy eaters or babies with ease, staff will happily do this for you.

Full-Time Villa Manager
Our villa manager is incredibly knowledgeable about Balinese living and culture. He is in charge of the overall operations of the villa including staffing and will be more than happy to accommodate any special requests or provide information about touring the island.

In-house Chef
Our in-house 5 star private chef will suggest meal ideas and discuss with you a variety of menu options during your stay. Wherever possible, he will gladly accommodate any special meal requirements that you may have. Our chef is very versed in typical Balinese and Indonesian cooking, as well as Western, French, Russian and other international food with or without low calorie (on request). Kids menu and special menu's available on request.

Housekeeping
You will hardly notice our team of housekeepers who attend Villa Sayang d'Amour daily to take care of regular cleanliness that guests needn't worry about. These discreet and friendly staff also assist in the kitchen whenever necessary.

Driver
A driver (and car) is available to guests for 8 consecutive hours daily at a special rate of USD25++/day (excluding petrol). For additional/after hours to be borne by the guests.

Gardener and pool attendant
The garden and pool at Villa Sayang d'Amour are attended to daily.

Spa staff/masseuse
Fully trained therapist will always be on stand-by at the villa on-site to provide a range of spa and massage treatments.

Security
Villa Sayang d'Amour is kept safe by a team of specially trained security staff working 24-hours on rotating shifts, plus laser security and CCTV.

NOTE: All on-site staff have been trained specifically to handle all kinds of emergency situations, from medical emergencies to water safety/lifeguarding, plus first-aid training.

But a short walk along a discreet gang (lane) will bring you to the heart of buzzing Seminyak, home to world-class restaurants, happening bars, hip cafés and nightclubs. Delight in the variety of luxurious spas literally at your doorstep and the abundance of fabulous shops with everything from clothing to jewellery to home wares.

The ocean is just a stone's throw away and surfers will love the breaks on Seminyak beach. If that's all too energetic then simply take a stroll and feel sand between your toes. There is no end to the choice of bars and restaurants dotted along the beach so factor in some time for a refreshing beverage or a delicious meal of fresh grilled seafood at one of the beachside warungs.

One of Bali's most sacred Hindu temples, Pura Petitenget, the fourth largest temple on the island, where some of the most spectacular Balinese ceremonies may often be witnessed, is just moments away.

Your villa manager will have a wealth of information about places of interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the area too. Most will live nearby and can give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of local Bali life.

In the meantime, here's a taste of the many and varied activities on offer within reach of Villa Sayang d'Amour.

• Grab your bucket and spade (or walking shoes) and head to Petitenget Beach, whose sands stretch north towards Canggu and south to Kuta.

• Visit the famous sea temple at Tanah Lot (16km). Although renowned for its sunset vistas, going early in the morning provides a better idea of the power of the location and the chance to see it undisturbed, apart from perhaps an offering ceremony.

• A nice sunset alternative is to head down to Echo Beach (7km) where a number of cafés offer good sunset views and cold beer. Nearby, the museum-like Hotel Tugu, a very stylish and eclectic boutique hotel a few kilometres from Echo Beach is well worth dropping into for an aperitif too. Note that the beach along this section of the coast is dark volcanic sand and the waters are better suited to surfing than swimming.

• Seminyak, Bali's most cosmopolitan enclave, is at your doorstep and you can indulge for hours in the glut of stylish, chic boutiques and international restaurants and bars including, Potato Head Beach Club, La Lucciola and Bali's infamously trendy Ku Dé Ta. For furniture, antiques and homeware stores go for a wander around the streets of nearby Kerobokan.

• Play a round of golf at the unbelievably scenic Nirwana Bali Golf Course. Bordered by ocean and rice fields and just down from Tanah Lot sea temple, no wonder this championship-standard course (designed by golf legend, Greg Norman) is frequently voted number one in Asia.

• Drive westwards to explore the charming Tabanan Regency, revealing terraced rice fields of emerald green, volcanic mountains and black-sand beaches dotted with fishing communities. Or head north to explore the volcanic lakes near the mountain town of Bedugul, including Lake Bratan with its photogenic and stunningly positioned Pura Ulun Danu ? one of Bali's most important temples.

• Get up to some monkey business at Bali Treetop Adventure Park (next to Lake Bratan). Five adventure circuits, with heights ranging from 2 to 20 metres, challenge all ages and skill levels via suspended bridges, spider nets, Tarzan jumps and 12 flying foxes.

• Surfs Up! The Island of Bali is world renowned for year-round surfing. Warm seas, relatively uncrowded beaches with reef breaks and suitability for all levels of experience, deem Bali a world-renowned surfing destination. The beaches of Canggu (3km) are known for their world-class surf breaks, offering exposed reef breaks with consistent surf. May through to October (dry season) is the favoured time for waves.

• If you are a bold and brave bargain hunter, a spree within the heart of Bali's bustling provincial capital is an exciting and rewarding experience. Visit the vibrant Denpasar markets, where everything and anything is available.

• Covering 3.8 hectares of tropical parkland in Kuta, Waterbom Bali has 16 water slides (including The Climax with its 360 degree loop) to entertain the young and the young at heart. A great family day out, but go early to beat the crowds.
