Lombok

Lombok is often called the chili island, located between the islands of Bali and Sumbawa. Its main town is Mataram.

With an area of 5200 km² and a population of over 2.5 million people, Lombok attracts fewer tourists than Bali but offers magnificent landscapes rice paddies and beautiful beaches. Dominated by Mount Rinjani, which rises to 3726 meters, Lombok offers white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and hot water all year round.

Lombok is particularly lush : waterfalls, paddy fields and small villages succeed each other in a kaleidoscope of colors.

Lombok is an island of volcanic origin located in the heart of the Indonesian Archipelago. The Gili Islands offer great diving spots.

The center of the island is largely watered that allowing the culture of rice and spices, cassava or tobacco. Coasts, and especially the South, the North and the East are much more arid.
