Poking out of the palm canopy across the hillside, the distinctive pointed roofs of pavilions evoke the architecture of Ayutthaya, ancient capital of Siam.

Accommodation
Adjacent to the resort, almost hidden by coconut palms, are 30 Villa Homes, many with ocean-front settings. Each villa consists of two to six separate bedrooms finished with Thai furnishings, art and antiques.
Villas also enjoy a private pool plus living and dining Thai salas. A live-in maid and cook attend to all guests' needs, including the preparation of Thai cuisine in a private kitchen. Amanpuri villas are ideal for small business meetings, weddings and special events.
A crescent-shaped white-sand beach is located at the foot of a cascading sweep of stone steps leading from the resort's main pool, restaurants and bar. The beach is lined with sundeck chairs and umbrellas.
Amanpuri's friendly beach boys are available to offer light refreshments as well as cool cocktails and drinks, cold towels and ice. They will also ensure your feet are kept cool by watering pathways in the sand on the beach.

Buddhist Blessing
at Wat Manik Temple Depart early in the morning to visit a local Thai temple, set in a peaceful rubber plantation. Traditional offerings can be prepared using ingredients bought at the local morning market. These can be offered as alms to the monks who will pray for and bless you in return.
Big Buddha
Offering 360-degree views of the island and iconic Phang Nga Bay, the Phra Puttamingmongkol Akenakkiri Buddha stands 45 metres (148 feet) tall at the peak of Sakayamuni Hill. Clad in gleaming white marble, this cross-legged colossus sits on
a marble lotus flower alongside a much smaller golden Buddha. No beachwear, short skirts or shorts should be worn when visiting this religious site.
