Conceived by respected Thai architect Charupan Wiriyawiwatt of Hong Kong-based Naga Concepts, the villa's "Ratana and Wassana"sensibility is a study in complementary opposites, mixing elements of classic, soft-lined Thai architecture and tropical gardens with the hard, crisp lines of contemporary furnishings.

Villa Ratana is spread over four different levels affording sea views from almost every room. The top entrance level, with reception and sea view sitting area, leads down to the second level where the large open-plan Minotti kitchen, dining and living area is situated. This indoor space opens onto the lounge deck that fronts a 15-meter infinity pool which seemingly teeters on the edge of the Andaman Sea. Down one more level are Bedroom 2, 3 and 4, each with a private en suite and sea view deck. Further stairs lead down to the bottom level where the large, ultra private Master Bedroom (Bedroom 1) with en suite with full bathtub and two private seafront decks surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

Ratana's manager, is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. He oversees and coordinates the staff and will happily assist guests with activities and excursion bookings during their stay.

In charge of the market shopping and preparation of guest meals. They are highly proficient in cooking a wide selection of Thai and western meals.

Centrally located, the villa is just 30 minutes from the International Airport and 15 minutes from the nightlife of Patong.

Ratana Villa has an extensive reasonably priced menu of home-style Thai, Asian and international dishes that cater to all tastes, as well as vegetarian options, children's favourites and light snacks. There's also a choice of Thai set dinners, and barbecue menus and an excellent drinks menu. The experienced chef is happy to tailor meals to accommodate any special dietary requirements. He will also prepare off-menu items, shopping for groceries, keeping the receipts.Complimentary breakfast is available daily, and tea, coffee and water are available on a complimentary basis through the day.
