Eco-responsible 18-Hole golf course

Throughout four years Domaine  slowly and surely took shape and the golf course itself came into being as well, ceaselessly reworked and refined. Literally embedded in the rocky setting of Les Baux, the golf course does not seek to be an English green or an oasis. It is part of the landscape, eco-responsible and respectful of the natural resources.
Plantings emphasize local species and the atmosphere is fragrant with pine, oak and olive trees. Provence and the Mediterranean influences accompany the changing seasons and color the fairways.

The Course
The golf course at Domaine  complies with the constraints inherent in a protected region and even goes beyond those constraints. As beautiful as an olive grove, as alive as a vineyard, the course creates a series of connected spaces that enhance biodiversity and are conducive to local flora and fauna.

New yet already timeless, the Domaine golf course is a French government-certified exemplary golf course.

Character-filled golf course designed by Thierry Sprecher and Anne-Laure Ricci - Ateliers Pep's. Course elements echo the former agricultural use of the land, geometric bunkers supported by stone walls, the shape of the greens, grassy rather than sandy bunkers, fairways bordered like former fields, olive groves and water obstacles?

The Domaine course appeals. The balanced, moving course evokes many different sensations. A good technical course with great diversity in the design of each hole.

5502 meters long, it suits every playing level.

Teaching
Stéphane MOURGUE is Head Coach at Domaine de Manville. His expertise comes from 25 years of teaching including 10 years coaching professional players, and is at your service. His experience working with professional golfers has honed his vision of the swing and enables him to share his simple, efficient approach.
Stéphane Mourgue's specialisation in mental preparation gives him very relevant, special expertise which he places at the service of golfers.
 
Our teaching focuses on enhancing your qualities.
We listen and observe your physical and mental preferences and adapt our coaching to improve your strong points and optimise your potential.
Our teaching is built on our analysis of your swing which is carefully studied using the latest technologies. The strategy and the mental approach are assessed through coaching on the course to build your confidence.
 
With our teaching, you increase your awareness of your own golf skills and social skills!

Equipement
Because your short game accounts for 60% of your performance on a golf course, our driving range is there to help you develop the quality of your shots within 90 meters of the hole.

•  15 stands on synthetic turf are at your disposal. Play 6 greens located at distances between 23 and 92 meters.
•  There is an 800-m² space dedicated to the short game, chip shots and putting green

Our instructors have excellent tools at their disposal for coaching, teaching and practicing golf. Indispensable leading-edge digital tools allow for exciting progress for every golfer.
 
A Revolutionary Teaching Studio

•  The Swing Player terminal automatically films your swing and plays it back instantaneously, with no intervention from the player.
•  TrackMan analyses the trajectory and distance of your ball, and the position of your club at impact.
•  The pressure plate calculates weight transfer distribution in perfect synchronisation with the video of the swing.

Our Pro shop is luminous, spacious and functional : here you will find a wide range of the best brands of golf items, and our own branded accessories and textiles.
The team on hand at the pro shop can talk with you and advise you about our 18-hole golf course. Here too you can reserve your golfing time and your lessons.

Culture and Heritage

Located on a rocky plateau in the heart of the Alpilles, the town of Les Baux-de-Provence provides a breathtaking panoramic view down over Arles and the Camargue. It has been patiently restored and now boasts a historical and architecture heritage consisting of 22 listed buildings.
 
The Castle, is a unique reminder of mediaeval history, the Romanesque and Renaissance Saint Vincent's Church, has beautiful stained-glass windows by Max Ingrand, the Renaissance Window Post Tenebras Lux is a reminder of the Huguenot influence in the 16th century, the private mansions built in the 16th and 17th centuries are now art galleries and museums, among them the Yves Brayer Museum and the Santons Museum, the Louis Jou Foundation contains yet more treasures and, finally, there is the Town Hall housed in the former private residence known as the Manville Mansion.

In the heart of Alpilles, the monumental "Carrières de Lumières" in Les Baux-de-Provence host extraordinary multimedia shows which are unique in the world.

Walks

Advice and recommendations for walkers
The forest and hillside are a source of life. They are a precious asset for everybody so let's take care of them! Sometimes, footpaths cross private properties. In this case, please show respect for the owner's generosity.

The Alpilles regional country park
The Alpilles regional country park is the latest of the regional parks. Within its area lie 16 towns including Les Baux-de-Provence between Camargue and Luberon, a town which puts its Provencal identity clearly in the spotlight.

The Tremaïe Path
This is quite a short walk that provides a different view of the "spur of rock" on which the village of Les Baux-de-Provence sits.The rock is shaped like the bow of a ship. It captures and retains the sunlight in the lacework of indentations and gaps chiselled out by erosion.

Leaving the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, take the D27 towards Maillane and past the "Carrières de Lumières". At the top of this road turn at the right towards "The Viewing Table".

The Rock
Bauxite is an aluminium mineral consisting of one or more aluminium hydrates. Discovered during the 19th century in several parts of the world it was from samples from Les Baux-de-Provence that in 1858 double aluminium chloride was successfully made from which the metal is easily extracted.

Cycling allows you the time to meet people, and you only have to put out your hand and you will come back with ingredients to flavour your cooking.

Château des Baux
Educational workshops April, May and June, from Monday to Friday From April to June, the Castle offers for schools, workshops for nursery school, primary school and middle school pupils.

The activity book
A fun questionnaire has been devised to help children aged between 7 and 12 to find out about Château des Baux. A free booklet is provided at the entrance to the site and a mysterious riddle leads the children across the Château in search of hidden clues to discover the history of the monument.

Marjorie proposes excursions of the most beautiful itineraries in the heart of the wildlife of Provence. The alpilles of Saint Rémy de Provence, camargue, the land of cattlemen, bulls and white horses, the red ochre of the luberon, the blue coast and its must-see cliffs.

Our Chef
Matthieu Dupuis-Baumal, originally from Nantes moves to England for two years to work with the famous Michel Roux at the Waterside Inn with 3 michelin stars.

On his return to France he decides to continue to work in only the very best of establishments such as L'Hotel du Palais à Biarritz1*, Le Puits Saint Jacques 2* in the Gers, Le George V à Paris 2*. He spends 4 years at the splendid Maison Troisgros with the last 2 years being Chef de Cuisine with Michel and César Troisgros.

Passionate about discovery whether its new countries, new foods, new flavors he spends time visiting all four corners of the globe having recently spent time in Brazil, Mexico, Korea, Japan and Italy. Using these influences as inspiration when working on his new menus and dishes.

Today, Matthieu is the Executive Chef here at the Domaine and has launched himself into his most exciting of adventures so far. Where is experience, his creativity and his knowledge of the local region and its products will come together and forge what is certainly a very special and exciting gastronomical experience. We hope you enjoy as much as we enjoyed watching Matthieu put together his very special menus!
 
Bar & Winter garden
Sheltered under a 150-m² glass atrium, this very luminous winter garden is our guests? breakfast room. It is also the ideal space to gather family and friends for a special occasion, goûter, cocktail party or dinner.

We bring very special care and attention to breakfast time at Domaine. Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 11am, and offers a wide variety of breads and croissants prepared daily by our baker.

Traditional cakes, regional products, artisan jams in lovely flavours, honey from the hives at Domaine, cereals, scrambled eggs, charcuterie, fresh fruit juice and piping hot beverages prepared to order ? Breakfast just does not get much better ?

The restaurant
Our Chef serves the Alpilles and Provence, expressing their seasonal treasures in his cuisine. The orchards and the vegetable gardens, locally-raised lamb, traditional artichokes a la barigoule, slowly roasted tomatoes, apricots paired with rosemary honey, sun-gorged strawberries from Carpentras.

Creative and spontaneous, our Chef draws inspiration from his immediate surroundings, from the terroir around him, from the beautiful market in Cavaillon, from his outings in the hills and mountains from the Alpilles to Mont Ventoux, where he finds mint, citronnella, flowering thyme and wild strawberries... and works with devoted local suppliers, to the delight of diners at the Domaine.

The Bistrot
Breakfast, lunch, goûter, a cup of coffee? on the spacious terrace under the pine trees or in the cozy dining room, the very ambiance of a true bistro. In the centrally-located kitchen, the chef prepares before your eyes succulent Provencal classics, great dishes to share among friends, "golf" specials and daily specials inspired by the morning's marketing ?
 
Our pastry chef gives a new twist to childhood favourites, from baba au rhum to the Paris-Brest, millefeuille and Opéra, to enjoy on site or take-away.

Cinéma
