The historically designated eight-bedroom home was built in the 18th century and was later home to the opera composer Vincenzo Bellini. The Palazzo's breathtaking views of Lake Como and lush grounds are matched in splendor by its carefully designed and lavishly decorated interiors.

The Palazzo, redisigned by the famous architect Felice Soavi has been frescoed by Andrea Appiani and from 1829 to 1833 has been The residence of the famous composer Vincenzo Bellini who composed here La Sonnambula.
The ceilings on the public rooms as well as the bedrooms are ornately decorated and painted. The floors are a beautiful mixture of Cotto Lombardo, Seminato, and dark antique wood. The Palazzo is filled with beautiful paintings, sculptures, rugs, tapestries and Venetian chandeliers.

Perfect for large parties, the property is surrounded by spectacular Italian-style gardens that include a large swimming-pool with unobstructed views of the lake.
The Estate is made up of a main villa, 2.787 sqm in size and a guest house, 250 sqm in size, located in a separated area and completely independent from the main villa. The entire property was painstakingly restored and renovated in 2002 with detailed attention given to every room and feature.

Accommodation

Among the most spectacular of the luxury Italian villas, Palazzo has eight stunning suites.  The suites are large averaging 1300 square feet and all have beautiful and large bathrooms.

The suites are filled with antiques, rugs and chandeliers that have been passed down over centuries.  Most of the chandeliers are antique Venetian and most of the suites' ceilings are originally and ornately decorated.  The floors are original Lombardy Cotto or antique wood covered by beautiful, Persian rugs.

The public rooms are the most spectacular of any of the luxury Italian villas on Lake Como.  Escape to the Music Room where Bellini wrote his most famous operas--Sonnambula and Norma.  The exquisite dining room contains one of Andrea Appiani's most important frescoes.  The bar cinema is overlooked by a ten foot high ornately carved 400 year old fireplace.  For more casual dining, try the Tuscan Dining Room with comfortable and lovely country Tuscan furniture.

With their eleven working fountains, the Palazzo's grounds alone are a work of art. Stroll down to the private dock on Lake Como, or up to the pool terrace, which is surrounded by citrus trees, a greenhouse and a 12th-century bell tower. There are outdoor sitting and dining areas with gorgeous views of the lake and mountains, as well as a gym and a playground for children. In the evenings, make cocktails at the bar, gather in the home theater or music and billiards rooms, and send the kids to the two playrooms. For comfort and convenience, the property has a fireplace, a wine cooler, computer and Wi-Fi access.

Soaring ceilings, symmetrical layouts and elaborate moldings and frescoes make the interiors of Palazzo  stately and traditional. In the double-height music room, an antique piano and tufted sofas sit under pale peach walls and a second-floor gallery. Other sitting rooms feature a marble fireplace and mahogany bar, and fresh flowers from the estate's garden provide a finishing touch. The formal dining room has a beautiful ceiling fresco by Andrea Appiani, while a second Tuscan-inspired dining room is the place for more casual meals.
