Overview

Bocca Di Leone I apartment is situated on the fourth floor of the same building where Bocca Di Leone II and Bocca Di Leone III are located, it is composed of three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It can accommodate up to 6 people.

Accommodation

Bocca Di Leone I is wonderfully lit by four large windows overlooking the Via Bocca di Leone off Via Borgognona just in front of the Hotel d'Inghilterra. The warm ocher of the old roofs complete the view.

The apartment is entered through a set of double doors. First is a vestibule where I have a small desk to organize check-in`s and housekeeping. There is a room off the vestibule where the housekeeper, who cares for the three apartments, lives. Straight ahead are the doors to enter the apartment.

The apartment is decorated with antique furniture and paintings from my family home in Puglia and from my husband's home on Sardinia. The floors throughout are made of terracotta tiles.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

1st bedroom
The master bedroom with the third bathroom en suite. It is furnished with a desk, a small armchair and a large armoire style closet. A French window opens onto a small balcony filled with plants that overlooks the courtyard with views of several nice terraces and balconies. The beds can be configured as two twin beds or made up together as a queen bed. The en suite bathroom in creamy marble has sink with good countertop space, a toilet, bidet and bathtub with a shower.

2nd bedroom
In front of the entrance, large and accented with Pompeii red walls, is provided with a large armoire style closet, an antique set of drawers, a small armchair and a large bookcase with an interesting selection of literature and art books. The beds can be configured as two twin beds or made up together as a queen bed. Down the hallway is a bathroom in creamy marble with a sink, toilet, shower and bidet.
Off the kitchen there is a spacious new bathroom done in white mosaic tiles, separated into two compartments: one for the toilet and a small sink; the other has double sinks and a large glass-walled modern shower.

3rd bedroom
The smallest, has a large single bed, a cupboard, a shelf, a lamp, plus a second large single bed with safety rails on a sleeping loft, accessed by a ladder. There is a light mounted on the wall in the loft, handy for reading at night.

As you enter, on the right, there is a large living & dining room, with a comfortable sofa and four comfortable ottoman armchairs, a long antique dining table that seats eight, illuminated by a crystal chandelier, a desk and two antique consoles

Kitchen

Further down the hallway connected to the entrance is the kitchen brightly lit by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the nice courtyard. The kitchen has marble countertops and it is equipped with five burner gas stove, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, microwave and Nespresso coffee machine together with dishes, flatware, pots and pans.

Edgard's job is to keep the apartment clean and perfectly working, and to take care of the laudry so that it is always shiny as new. He loves plants and flowers, and it's thanks to him that my balconies are so luxuriant. He is extremely thorough in his work, kind and he always has a smile on his face.

Driver
Gino can organizes your private transfers to and from airports, railway stations and car rentals with driver. He is always at our disposal with his team.

Private Chef
Simone offers the opportunity to taste Rome the way the Romans do. With him it is possible to do private cooking lessons, private dinners and visit local markets, wine bars, ice cream makers, crafts of artisans and historical shops and vineyards in the countryside.

Dining
Chef Simone is 28 generations Roman and from a family of chefs.So, he was born and raised in the kitchen!
At thirteen he started working in a restaurant and later graduated from the International Chef School of Rome. Since then he has worked abroad and in Rome at prestigious restaurants, hotels and as a private chef for the US Embassy.
His aim is to give you a unique 'taste' of Rome and have you experience his traditions & customs through a deep immersion at typical off the beaten track areas.
Needless to say how much he is passionate about his job and it shows!
