Guests may benefit from the facilities of the exclusive Castiglion del Bosco estate, set in the UNESCO-awarded, world cultural landscape of Val d'Orcia . The estate offers restaurants, an infinity swimming pool with spectacular views of nearby Montalcino, a Spa, a state-of-the-art gym, tennis courts, a private golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf and the Brunello di Montalcino winery.

Accommodation

The home's elegantly understated interiors are notable for their exquisite details, stonework and furnishings. The villa features a reading/home theater room as well as a private tennis court located within its extensive gardens.

Villa Sant'Anna can accommodate up to nine guests in five bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities.

Outside there are several terraces, a heated swimming pool, outdoor wood oven and a tennis court. The pool house has a living room and fireplace, bathroom and a shady pergola for alfresco dining.

Gastronomy-Osteria La Canonica Cooking School
The former priest's house in the heart of the Borgo is home to the estate's La Canonica Cooking School. Small, chef-led classes offer hands-on experience in Tuscan culinary traditions inspired by freshly harvested produce from the adjacent organic garden which contains over 180 varieties of vegetables and herbs. The atmosphere is interactive and the two-hour class concludes with a meal that the participants and chef have prepared together. Course topics include pasta and sauces, pizza, a three-course meal and vegetarian dishes.

Wine Experiences
Castiglion del Bosco is a historic winery and the fifth largest producer of Brunello di Montalcino, grown on 51 hectares of its vineyard. The on-site winery hosts an array of wine-making and wine-tasting seminars, and an annual harvest festival takes place in September.

Truffle Hunting
Take part in a memorable truffle hunt accompanied by local experts and their highly trained dogs. A taste of mouth-watering truffles is enjoyed at the close of the hunt. The two-hour outing takes place 30 minutes from the estate and is offered throughout the year except in May.

Tuscany from the Sky Helicopter Tour
Departing directly from the estate's helipad, a helicopter ride high over the breathtaking Tuscan hills and vineyards is a world-class experience. The one-hour tour provides a unique and unforgettable perspective of the Italian countryside.

The Art of Craftsmanship
Ceramic, iron, copper, gold, silver, precious stones, leather and linen are just some of the outstanding Tuscan products that invite further investigation. Accompanied by an expert local guide, participants of this tour meet the artisans who work in the traditional manner, preserving and developing the value of the 'Made in Italy' designation.

As an option, participants can continue on to the charming medieval town of Cortona to meet a professional artisan jeweler and discover the secrets of his intricate art. An exclusive dinner with aperitifs, laid out in his elegantly appointed workshop, is included.

Quad Tour
Embark on an off-road adventure to visit the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. The former Benedictine monastery is a hidden gem of Tuscany. At the finish, enjoy a wine tour and light lunch or sunset aperitif at a traditional winery. The excursion departs from Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco and lasts three to four hours.

As an option, guests can also stop at an olive oil mill in the heart of Montalcino for a tour and tasting.

Archery
For archery enthusiasts or those interested in learning the sport, an archery field and all of the necessary equipment are available at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, guests can learn or practice this sophisticated interest. Instruction is offered for guests age six and up and sessions last approximately one and a half hours.

Bike Tour
There are various levels of mountain bike and road trails within the estate and surrounding area. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cyclist, a tailor-made route can be designed to meet your needs by one of our expert guides. Half-day and full-day tours through exciting trails can be organized and paired with professional bike rental and lunch in a traditional local restaurant.

At Rose Buds, children participate in absorbing activities and hours of entertainment led by our dedicated staff in a magical atmosphere. The club features cooking workshops and treasure hunts as well as swimming, archery and tennis lessons. Young guests can go horseback riding, explore the woods and attend outdoor fitness sessions. This special menu offers perfect choices for the budding spa-goer ages 4 to 18. Children must be at least 4 years old and must be accompanied by an adult. Young adults over 16 may enjoy The Spa services and amenities unaccompanied, provided the disclaimer form has been duly signed by their parents beforehand.

Each evening, Ristorante Campo del Drago serves upscale classical Italian dishes drawn from the various regions of Italy and enriched with fresh produce from the organic kitchen garden.

The evocative name pays homage to the Piazza del Campo in Siena and was inspired by the single-cru of Brunello di Montalcino produced by the estate's winery. Outside, the terrace offers stunning views of the deep green hills and sloping woodlands of Montalcino and the renowned Val d'Orcia.

Osteria La Canonica

Located in the heart of the Borgo and attached to the church of San Michele, Osteria La Canonica offers the authentic, warm atmosphere of a Tuscan trattoria.

La Canonica features a shaded open veranda overlooking the stunning valley. In this rustic and informal atmosphere, melded in wood and wrought iron, delicious pizzas and focaccia are prepared to order in an ancient open-view wood-fired oven. Seasonal produce from the organic kitchen garden is combined with other natural ingredients and freshly milled oil from Castiglion del Bosco to create traditional Tuscan fare.

Pool Bar

Fresh, simple Italian delights are never more satisfying than when enjoyed poolside under the warm Tuscan sun. The views of the hilltop town of Montalcino and the UNESCO-protected park of the Val d'Orcia are to be admired any time of day, and there is no more perfect vantage point than from The Pool Bar's quiet, relaxing setting beside the panoramic infinity pool.
