Pura Emoção is a place with a unique sense of belonging. Located a mere one hour south of Portugal's capital Lisbon, this retreat is nestled on a beautiful 17-acre estate, adjacent to Herdade da Comporta (Portugal's best kept secret), and characterized by mature pines and cork trees, vineyards, rice fields and nearby untouched white, sandy beaches that stretch 50 kilometers. This is an authentic place, rich in cultural heritage, welcoming locals, great foods and wines. Pura Emoção offers the privacy, tranquility and simplicity in lifestyle that is equally addictive as it inspires to do and experience more with less.
With 14 luxurious rooms and suites, situated across two buildings whose design respects local traditional architecture and lifestyle while at the same time enriching it with a modern touch. Amenities include a restaurant, an outdoor pool and a small spa with indoor pool. The two buildings are a mere 100 meters apart. The main house, comprises the reception, bar, restaurant as well as five rooms: the Owner's Suite and 4 Friend's Rooms. 9 additional Guests Suites are located in the adjacent building.
The Spa features a sauna, steam bath, massage room and a heated indoor pool, overviewing the umbrella pines. Our in-house masseuse is ready to perform most types of massages upon request.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The 14 rooms are spread out across the main building and the annex, which is about 20 metres away. All have private terraces. The decor is all-white minimalist but warmed with natural wood furniture and comfortable linens. Floor-to-ceiling windows make the most of the natural light and beautiful setting.
Friends Rooms King Bed
These Friends Rooms are located along the corridor of the main house. Designed as open spaces and larger areas than the double room queen bed, they feature a king size bed and a bathroom with bathtube and shower. Floor-to-ceiling doors open onto a private terrace with great views of a beautiful landscape dominated by spectacular umbrella pines.

These Friends Rooms are located along the corridor of the main house. Designed as open spaces with good areas, they feature a queen size bed and a bathroom with shower. The floor-to-ceilling doors open onto a private terrace with great views of a beautiful landscape dominated by spectacular umbrella pines.
Guests Suites
All Guess Suites are located in a second building, adjacent to the main house. Designed as open spaces with floor-to-eiling glass doors, indoor and outdoor spaces seemlessly flow into one another. All bathrooms are located on mezzanines, leaving more free space in the bedroom and living areas. However, some of the Suites have bathtubs and an adiditonal shower on the groundfloor. All Suites have a sofa bed that can accomodate one extra adult or two children.
Owner's Suite
The Owner's Suite is the only room situated on the second floor of the main house, providing complete privacy. Designed as one large open space, the Owner's suite features a king size bed, a sleeping sofa and floor-to-ceiling doors that open onto a two private terraces, one with a private jacuzzi, providing stuning views of the surrounding landscape and the pool.
The suite features a beautiful headboard made of sliced tree trunks, a fireplace and an outdoor jacuzzi.

Pura Emoção is 13km from the tranquil fishing village of Comporta, in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
The beaches of Pego and Carvalhal are only five minutes' drive from Pura Emoção, while the expansive sands of Comporta are also well worth a visit.
Activities
This is a beach-lover's paradise, with some of Portugal's best beaches within easy reach by car. Carvalhal and Pego are less than a ten-minute drive from the hotel, while Comporta and Soltroia beaches are about 20 minutes away. Activities in the local area include surfing, horse riding, cycling (the hotel has bicycles you can borrow) and bird watching in Estuário nature reserve. It is also possible to do cooking classes at the hotel and Troia's golf course is just 28km away.
Just one hour driving from Lisbon, there are kilometres
and kilometres of desert beaches to stroll around. After experiencing

At Pura Emoção, guests have free access to an indoor heated pool, a sauna and steam bath. Massages and other treatments are available by appointment in the privacy of an indoor facility or - if you prefer being surrounded by nature - adjacent to the outdoor pool. The property provides ample opportunity to relax or meditate in the shade of the amazingly beautiful umbrella pines, or savouring a tea freshly made from leafs picked in our organic garden.
Culinary experiences
Together with our Chef João, we have designed a unique cooking program. You will participate in the vegetables harvest in our bio garden (whenever possible), a tour to a local fish market followed by a workshop where you will put your hands on and learn some culinary tricks. You will also be preparing your own dinner while enjoying a glass of wine from the region
Dining
Restaurant is an elegant, open plan affair which serves a refreshing Mediterranean menu, with many ingredients being sourced from the hotel's organic garden. The food isn't as heavy as other popular Portuguese dishes but they are by no means less delicious. It is the sort of place where you can expect fresh pastries at breakfast, local cheeses daily and a fantastic wine selection from neighbouring Alentejo vineyards.
