In the heart of the historic center of Sevilla, The Mercer Hôtel is located in the casa Palacio Castelar, a small Palace dated from the 19th century. Its lacation was chosen because of its position in the city center. Additionally, its offered the possibility to build a luxury hôtel in which we can preserve an original stucture along with a typical andalusian patio.
Our luxury hôtel provides an intuitive, beautiful surroundings, astylish restaurant and a cocktail bar, as well a relaxing oasis on the rooftop.

Consequently, the architectural restauration of the Casa Palacio Castelar Palace has been commissioned to the prestigious architects Cruz y Ortiz. The Mercer team has been responsible for selecting each and every one of the details of the hotel: furniture, lighting, art, fabrics and colors, with an exquisite design and inimitable #MercerStyle.

Through the majestic staircase entrance, original from the Palacio Castelar, our guests enter the hotel lobby, a beautiful courtyard with marble floor and covered by a spectacular dome bathing the space with natural day light and harmony. Surrounding the courtyard, guests are astonished by the arches, high ceilings and by the sound of the fountain, which is a traditional decorative element of the Mudejar culture. This experience is complemented by the expressionist art of Augutí Puig.

The first floor of Mercer Sevilla, the original of the Casa Castelar
Palace, preserves the original high ceilings of the 19th century and has
7 spacious rooms including a spectacular suite of 63m². On the second
floor, guests will find 5 bedrooms, two of which have private terraces
for its guests. Mercer Sevilla's rooms, which are among the most special
in the city, have been designed in the purest Mercer Style. A
prevailing design element is the large windows and balconies bringing in
light and nature to the interiors and is combined with the white tones
inspired by the picturesque Andalusian villages and whitewashed houses.

The Mercer is a luxury hôtel located on a quiet street in the Seville city center.
The "El Arenal" district, where the new luxury Hotel Mercer Sevilla is located, is one of the most city traditional and vibrant districts. It's surrounded by the Guadalquivir right riverside and three emblematic monuments declared World Heritage: the majestic Cathedral of Seville, the imposing Real Alcázar, Palace and the famous Torre del Oro. During the middle ages, the "El Arenal" district was an important port where ships arrived from America and the Indies. Symbol of the splendor of Seville during the Golden Age, today it is still a place of great activity, but in a cultural rather than commercial sense - particularly in the worlds of Bullfighting, Theatre and Classical Music.
Seville is a city with an unique charm, rich in royal palaces, museums and gardens. Maria Luisa RestaurantMaría Luisa is the new restaurant of the Hotel Mercer Sevilla. The name of the restaurant refers to the largest park in Seville, donated to the city in 1893 by the Infanta María Luisa de Borbón, Duchess of Montpensier.
María Luisa's menu has been carefully conceived by the Sevillian chef Rafael Liñán, who has been chef's Rafa Zafra right hand at Heart Ibiza and who has also participated in the opening of the restaurant ESTIMAR in Barcelona.
Its proposal aims to highlight the Andalusian gastronomic culture. Based on top quality local products, the menu presents a series of traditional recipes, with a creative new and modern air. It's a contemporary and original cuisine, accompanied by a careful selection of wines.
The gastronomic experience at the restaurant María Luisa begins with a tasting of appetizers taking place in the spectacular hotel's patio, after which, guests come to the table to enjoy the suggestive dishes of the menu.
