We are proud to say that our hotel is one of the best 5 star hotels in
Barcelona. The team of the prestigious architect, Rafael Moneo - 1996
Pritzker Prize and 2012 Prince of Asturias award-, was commissioned to
rescue the architectural heritage, paying genuine respect to history and
incorporating it into the contemporary design of the hotel. The Mercer
Barcelona is an unpretentious yet elegant hotel that offers an

After the impressive hall of the
hotel, there is the orange tree "patio", a glazed courtyard whereby
natural light filters and beside which are located the gastronomic
restaurant, the gastrobar Le Bouchon and Mercer Cocktail Bar.

28 rooms and suites are distributed over 3 floors. And on the building
rooftop, guests can enjoy the Mediterranean climate in the pleasant
hotel terrace and a pool, with a Pool Bar, as well as beautiful views of

Junior Suites are spacious rooms with more than 42sqm (452sq ft), overlooking the Gothic Quarter or the orange tree courtyard. They are bright rooms (some of them with balcony) and comfortable, including a reading area where guests can enjoy of relaxing moments. Junior Suites have been designed and decorated with the unmistakable Mercer hallmark.

The Premium Junior Suite is a wonderful room of 45sqm (484sq ft) from which there is access to a large private terrace of 30sqm (323sq ft) with wood floors and garden furniture: An exclusive space where guests can enjoy of the hotel service within a complete privacy.

The Mercer Suite, located on the third floor of the hotel -originally referred to as the ?noble? floor-, is the most exclusive hotel room with 95sqm (1022sq ft) distributed between the living room, the bedroom area and the bathroom.
The living room has large windows that fill the room with natural light, unique views of the Gothic street as well as a lovely sloping roof with wooden beams. It?s decorated with sophisticated paintings and luxury furniture, with an original sofa, a large table, Nespresso coffee maker and a minibar with a selection of Premium drinks.
The bedroom area, separated from the living room by a large sliding door, has a bathroom with a rain effect shower and a bathtub.

The Mercer Restaurant offers a high quality cuisine in a unique and exclusive place, surrounded by history yet entirely modern at the same time
The Restaurant at the Mercer seeks to provide excellence. The gastronomic offer is based on traditional dishes and the highest quality ingredients to create a refined cuisine in the ancient environment of Mercer.
Chef Harry Wieding and Sous Chef Marc Ramos lead the Mercer Restaurant kitchen to highlight the heart and soul of Catalan cuisine to the hotel's restaurant. Chef Wieding is passionate about finding the freshest local and seasonal products, and he offers a menu that delivers reinterpreted local specialties, from a delicate and honest perspective. The result is a quality Catalan cuisine, which respects tradition and raw materials.
The Restaurant offers private or intimate spaces for events or meetings. These are uniquely set within the historical surroundings of the ancient city walls, including an original Roman defense tower with XII century frescos.
The Mercer also provides the gourmet Mercer breakfasts, for guests to start the day in the most delicious way, with a wide selection of a la carte dishes, cooked to order.
Le Bouchon
The mix between the best tradition of neighborhood bars, tapas and local specilities, throws as a result in Le Bouchon, where you can enjoy tapas and local specilities in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
The gastrobar Le Bouchon reflects the personality of Chef Harry Wieding. The menu proposes traditional tapas, as well as tapas based on the freshest seafood (cockles, mussles, squid, octopus or cod) and a selection of original tapas: Egg with Asparagus, Saffron and Smoked Herring Eggs or Cottage Cheese with Cantabrian Anchovies. And for meat lovers, Le Bouchon serves aged beef with pepper and burrata or the special Chef's style aged beef burger.
You will find an informal and relaxed atmosphere that is warm and welcoming. Le Bouchon is accessible through the hotel or directly from Carrer Lledó.
