Accommodation
Completed in 2013, Chalet Star Wood is a magnificent ski-in/ski-out Alpine home, and the latest addition to Verbier's selection of super luxury properties. This property sits majestically on the banks of a shimmering pond in the highly exclusive Hameau development. Relax on the sun drenched terrace and watch the rare black swan gliding through the water amongst paddlings of ducks. You will be astounded from the moment you step in to Chalet Makini by the attention to detail of the interior. Contemporary furniture and art, glittering chandeliers and sumptuous fabrics have been combined with delightful traditional features such as old wood beams, polished oak flooring, natural stones, antique pieces, and luxurious furs to create a sophisticated and enchanting home.
Up to 11 guests are housed comfortably in five beautiful and intricately designed bedrooms all with luxury en-suite facilities. The chalet has two stunning living areas, with the main living areas are focussed around a grand stone fireplace that dates back to the 18th century. Extensive balconies and terraces surround the chalet, and the chalet?s elevated position allows to enjoy breath-taking views of the majestic mountains in the distance with a glass of champagne in hand.
Upon returning from the slopes each day, treat yourself to a break one of Verbier's largest private spas. Private to Chalet Star Wood the spa is home to a beautiful indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam, indoor hot tub, well equipped gym and extensive relaxation area. Treat yourself to an expert private massage, your favourite drink at the pool or allow your private chef to prepare healthy after ski treats which you can snack on poolside. The spa is located a short walk from the main chalet allowing you to truly relax and unwind in a unique setting.
Click into your skis in the morning and feel the rush skiing down a meandering trail that traverses the Hameau village and leads you directly to the Le Rouge teleski from where the main ski area can be accessed. At the end of the day you can ski straight into the chalet from the Les Esserts beginners area or from Savoleyres, snow permitting.
Chalet Star Wood is fully wired for sound and vision with an entertainment system throughout and most bedrooms have cable TV.
Security is at it?s highest level at Chalet Star Wood with a dedicated concierge and 24 hour security system. Your cars will be will parked in the chalet's internal garage, providing parking for four vehicles with a further three external parking places. Additional parking spaces can also be arranged upon request. A private chauffeur will be at your disposal throughout your stay and this is included in the Haute Montagne service. Guest's staying in Chalet Makini also have the option of renting its own Mercedes AMG S63 with private chauffeur, please do ask the sales team for further information.

The property boasts a number of spectacular living spaces, perfect for the sophisticated skier. Your eye will be drawn to the cascading glass petals of the magnificent chandelier suspended from the double height ceiling of the dining room.
Twelve guests can be comfortably seated around the baronial table set beside the flickering flames of the grand stone fire place. A perfect setting to enjoy a fine dining experience created by your private chef.
Wine Cellar
Chalet Star Wood has an extensive and impressive wine list both from the New and Old World. Some of the rare vintages for sale to Haute Montagne guests include a Chateau Latour 1985 and several vintages of Chateau Margaux Grand Vin 1er Cru including a singular bottle from 1934.

Chalet Star Wood prides itself on exemplary service, food and wine. The chalet offers an a la carte wine list where guests can pre-order their preferred wines from a renowned Verbier cave and any special requests can be accommodated should you wish the bar to be pre-stocked with any other favourites.

As well as the private spa area with swimming pool which is sure to be a hit with the kids, Chalet Star Wood has DVDs and music system to keep children entertained indoors. The cosy TV room on the ground floor is perfect as a den to snuggle up in and watch a movie, whilst the adults relax in the first floor living area.Your chef will be happy to cook a children's supper for the younger ones in the group should they wish to eat a bit earlier too.
Once in the great outdoors, they will love the vast array of child-friendly activities on offer in Verbier.
The chalet hosts can arrange exciting husky rides, or ice-karting, as well as private ski or snowboarding lessons. You'll have the use of your own sledges too, for fun and games in the snow. They are also an excellent way to tow little ones around town!

Eating & Drinking
There are plenty of lively, hip bars and clubs to appeal to the young and beautiful crowd in Verbier, maintaining the resort's reputation as a party town, but for those looking for something a bit more sedate, there are also a number of more sophisticated and civilised options.There is also a good selection of restaurants in Verbier. Try Michelin-starred Chalet d'Adrien or for great steaks Ecurie has a traditional Swiss ambiance.
Up the mountain a personal favourite is Cabane Mont Fort, a proper old-school mountain refuge which stands out from most of the other cafeteria style restaurants dotted around the ski area. The food is excellent quality authentic mountain fayre, but it does get busy so it's worth booking a table.
