Zermatt is the capital of the Matterhorn region with 38

chalet developments in the Alps. Chalet Altitude is one of seven
sumptuous new chalets that comprise the 7 Heavens project. The sparkling
Zermatt could not be adorned with more brilliant gems.
Chalet
Altitude is ideally located at the very heart of the village, in
immediate proximity to the shopping, night life and the main railway
station. The Sunnegga funicular is only a short stroll from the chalet
and whisks you directly up to the ski slopes.
Accommodation
The
7 Heavens share an impressive entrance hall leading into the lobby and
central living room where guests are invited to relax and unwind with a
drink from the bar. For all guests in the 7 Heavens, there is a state of
the art gym with all the latest equipment for the more enegertic.
On
entering Chalet Altitude and depositing your skis and boots in your
private ski room on the entrance level, the elevator whisks you up
through the chalet.
Sleeping 12 people, set out over four floors
authentic timbers and woods have been harmonised beautifully with plush
furnishings to create the ultimate alpine residence. Ultra-modern design
has been seamlessly fused with traditional alpine features with all of
the latest sound and vision appealing to even the most discerning
client. This magnificent 565m2 chalet faces due South-West with
extraordinary views of the Matterhorn.
Step into your very own
private spa and wellness area on the top floor and you will be
transformed into another world. There is a large indoor hot tub and
sauna.
The interior architecture and furnishing are befitting of
this world class development. The sumptuous and elegant furnishings and
fixtures create a warm refined atmosphere in which to unwind in front of
the fire and savour the infinite enjoyment of relaxing after wonderful
days on the slopes never tiring of the ever-changing mountain scenery.
Moving
downstairs onto the second floor of the property, there are two master
bedrooms, both have wonderful views of the mountain and face south west.
The main master bedroom has a dressing area and en-suite bathroom and
the other master bedroom has an en-suite shower room. All the bedrooms
in Chalet Altitude have flat screen T.V's and integrated sound systems.
The
first floor is home to three further bedrooms; a twin bedroom with
en-suite shower room, a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a
bunk room sleeping 4 with en-suite shower room.
The 7 Heavens
share an impressive entrance leading into the lobby and central living
room where guests are invited to relax and unwind.
As well as
the open plan kitchen on the top floor of the property, the chalet has a
private professional kitchen where your staff will prepare your meals.
Chalet
Altitude 1610 can be rented in conjunction with Chalet Cocoon to sleep
a combined total of 22 people in 10 en-suite bedrooms. All guests can
eat together in one of the properties.

Altitude 1610 staff have been professionally trained and will do their
utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.

Your
chalet manager and staff will be on hand throughout your stay to pour
your morning coffee, serve dinner in the evenings and provide you with a
dedicated and highly personalised concierge service during your stay.
Private transfers, ski lessons and other in-resort activities can all be
organised via our team.

From your first
phone call right through until you get back home we're on hand to help
with all aspects of your trip. We can assist with standard services from
spa treatments and restaurant reservations right through to more
challenging and unique requests. You'll also have access to local
support in your destination for on the spot help.

discreet daily housekeeping service is provided at the chalet. There
are luxury toiletries in all of the bathrooms as well as robes &

A full-time hot tub attendant ensure the spa look their best, without ever intruding on guests' privacy.

highly qualified private chef will be available to prepare breakfast,
afternoon treats and superb evening meals. Our chefs will work with you
or your staff to create the perfect menu for your stay, be it a seven

A
dedicated chauffeur and vehicle (Volkswagen Caravelle or similar)
operating between the hours of 8.30am until 2am. Please note that the
driver service is within the resort only.

Europe's highest resort, Zermatt offers year round skiing and is reliably one of the most snow-sure resorts in the world. Over 350km of pistes comprise Zermatt's extensive network which stretches into the Italian resort of Cervinia, highly recommended as a lunchtime destination.
A plethora of mountain restaurants and bars dotted across the resort provide numerous welcoming pit stops to take advantage of on your way back from an incredible day of skiing.
For nature lovers and hiking or walking enthusiasts, the mountains around Zermatt offer abundant possibilities.
Travelling to Zermatt
AirportsZermatt is situated close to the Swiss Italian border, at the end of the 30km Mattertal valley which starts in the Swiss canton of Valais.
International flights into Switzerland can be booked to either Geneva or Zurich. Both airports are more or less equidistant and one can expect the following approximated journey times by rail or private transfer.
- Zurich: Four hours by private transfer or 3.5 hours by rail.
- Geneva: Three hours by private transfer and four hours by rail.
Geneva airport and Zurich airport are both fully integrated into the Swiss rail network. In true Swiss efficiency, it's possible to check luggage and ski equipment onto the trains through to Zermatt. With this facility, it's a wonderful, quiet journey through the Swiss valleys and mountains in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Milan airport is also a convenient start to your train journey at six hours of travelling time.
These journeys will always include at least one change of train in Tasch where travellers board the shuttle to the village of Zermatt.
Self-driving
As Zermatt is a car free resort, cars must be parked in the long term parking in Tasch. There is then a short train journey from Tasch to Zermatt where a member of our team will meet you at the train station to escort you to your chalet.

Transfers
The chalet team would be delighted to book you a private transfer whatever your group size and level of standard desired. Our main transfer partners, Zermatt Airport Transfers, have special allowance to drive the private road between Tasch and the entrance to the village, where a member of our team will be ready to greet you and introduce you to the resort.
Activities
Your villa manager will have a wealth of
information about places of interest and will help arrange transport and
make any bookings required. Do also ask the staff about the area too.

Winter in Zermatt
A playground for skiers and non skiers alike.
For
the non-skier, there are a host of alternative resources on offer,
including an aquatics centre, the Zermatt Museum, and indoor tennis
courts, all of which are easily accessible. Zermatt's cinema, which also
doubles as a concert venue, is lit in the warm light of impressive
glowing chandeliers lending a regal feeling to an evening film or
concert.
Winter related
If you do not ski or you are
looking for a break from skiing, there are numerous options for
alternative activities, both on the mountain and in the village.
The
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise offers the highest lift-accessed 360 degree
view in Europe. On a clear day, one can view the Swiss, French, and
Italian Alps in all their glory.
Some of the winter activities which
are available to you without having to strap into your ski or snowboard
boots are: snowshoeing, sledding, clay pigeon shooting, curling, ice
skating, and paragliding.

Our ski
instructor concierges are on hand to help you make the most of such a
large skiable area. Bramble Ski uses the most experienced and
knowledgeable instructors and mountain guides, some of whom are the
descendants of multipule generations of guides and instructors.
Whether
you are looking for someone with the care and patience to ensure your
children's first skiing experience is a great one and kindles a new
passion, or you are looking for an adventurous guide to provide some
tuition in the extreme off-piste, we would be delighted to arrange this
for you.
Our instructors are also on hand to offer any advice on the correct ski equipment for the prevailing condition.
Mountain Guides
With
Zermatt's heavily glaciated landscape, the best way to experience the
challenging off-piste skiing is with a Mountain Guide. Many have skied
in Zermatt all their lives and know the off-piste like the back of their
hands. Whether navigating you down steep couloirs or through stunning
high mountain terrain, they can find something to test the most
experienced skiers.
Heli-skiing
For the definitive ski
or snowboard experience, we would be delighted to book you a heli-skiing
trip. Zermatt offers some incredible terrain only easily accessed by a
helicopter including the Monte Rosa, the Aschorn, and the Alphubeljoch.
Helicopter
sightseeing is also an incredible way to view the mountains surrounding
Zermatt and allows a unique perspective of the Matterhorn.
Spa and fitness
Although
many of our properties in Zermatt have shared or private spa facilities
there are a plethora of day spas to choose from. To help you decide
there a couple that stand out from the crowd; the Zermatt has two
renowned wellness centres: Mont Cervin Palace Spa and the Grand Hotel
Zermatterhoff Alpina Spa. Both have indoor pools, sanuas, hammams,
fitness centres, and a wide selection of treatments available.
If you
would prefer to exercise in the comfort of your own chalet, speak to
your concierge or pre-arrivals manager to arrange personal training
sessions or private yoga instruction.
Zermatt village life
A
picturesque mountain village set at the foot of the Matterhorn, the
multi-award winning resort of Zermatt has everything you could wish for
from a ski resort.
Despite Zermatt's popularity, it still maintains a
unique aura of old-world village charm. Distinctive Swiss chalets and
cottages house the small population of roughly 5,700 residents.
As
the entire resort is pedestrianised, an array of small boutiques as well
as designer brands stores have sprung up along the main shopping
street, the Bahnhofstrasse, which runs up the valley from the train
station. Gluhwein lends an aromatic smell and a warming sensation for an
evening amble under warm layers. Horse carriages are available as well
as electric taxi and shuttle services.
The shuttle journey from
Tasch, where all cars are parked, only increases the sense of
anticipation as you arrive at this incredible resort.
Apres-ski
On
your ski back to resort there are numerous opportunities to sample the
aprés-ski. Stop off in one of the bars that line the piste or in the
village and experience the infectious aprés-ski atmosphere.
Winter Events
The
renowned Zermatt Unplugged acoustic music festival takes place every
April. Attracting musicians from around the globe, the festival has 13
venues dotted throughout the village.
Every two years Zermatt is the
starting point for the legendary Patrouille des Glaciers ski touring
race.This is a formidable race which sees hundreds of participants make
the daunting journey from Zermatt to Verbier on skis through the night.
