Getting Here
Guests of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora first fly to Faa'a International Airport (PPT) in Papeete, Tahiti, the only international airport serving French Polynesia. From Papeete, it is a short 45-minute flight to Bora Bora, where we will meet you upon arrival and escort you to the Resort.At the airport in Bora Bora, guests are greeted by Four Seasons personnel. Staff handles your luggage, which will be placed in your room upon arrival. Guests are escorted to one of the Resort's custom Andreyale yachts, for a scenic 15-minute transfer to Four Seasons (fees apply).

4x4 Excursion
Enjoy an off-road 4x4 vehicle on a Land Rover Jeep TDI 110 Open or with air-conditioning, to discover the culture, history, fauna and flora of the island of Bora Bora. Explore the World War II sites that the Americans built during their friendly take over of the island in 1942. Learn about the ancient temples of the great Tahitian society, built around 1,000 AD, and the many legends of the island.
Battery Powered Bicycle Rental
Take the opportunity to discover the island of Bora Bora on two wheels. This battery powered comfortable bicycle will facilitate your tour around the island. Regular bicycles are also available.
Tennis
The Resort offers a full-service tennis program, conducted by an in-house tennis pro from Peter Burwash International, the world's premier tennis management company. Tennis-playing guests will enjoy magnificent views of mystical Mount Otemanu and lush tropical beauty surrounding the Resort's two all-weather quick surface courts. The courts are equipped with lights for night play, and the Resort provides complimentary use of tennis racquets and balls. Weekly clinics include Intro. Beach Volleyball and Badminton
Take part in a friendly competition of badminton or volleyball with family and friends on our beach volleyball court. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Volleyballs are available at the concierge desk. Visit the water sports centre for additional equipment and further information.

Try this convivial game - which originated in the South of France and is similar to bocce ball - on our white-sand resort beach. Equipment is available at the water sports centre on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations are required.
On the water
Power YachtDay and Sunset Cruises - Enjoy exclusive outings aboard private motor yachts (from 47 to 80 feet). During the day long excursion, you'll discover the famous vanilla island of Taha-a. During the sunset cruise, you'll see the majestic Mount Otemanu in the lagoon of Bora Bora against the starry sky.
Sunset Andreyale Cruise - This private excursion takes couples on a romantic cruise aboard one of our Andreyale boats. Toast the journey with champagne and canapés, savour sushi while watching the sun set, and enjoy petits fours on the return voyage.
Jet Boat
This excursion offers the excitement of high-speed jet boating on a luxury motor yacht. Cruise with the wind in your hair while enjoying views of volcanic peaks and the turquoise lagoon. Hobie Cat
Join a resort guide on a 6.4-metre (21-foot) Hobie catamaran for a day of sailing to the most beautiful locations on the island. This elegant catamaran is perfect for a small private charter or sunset cruise around the lagoon. Relax on the deck or take a dip in the water and explore a private cove. This is a private activity for one to three people.
Chauffered Speed Boat
Explore the island with your captain and guide on the White Shark 245 powerboat. During the excursion, consider dropping anchor to jump in the water, or stop in the town of Vaitape to shop or dine
Kite Boarding
Discover kite boarding or improve your skills on one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world. Take our Vaitape shuttle to the meeting point, where an instructor will take you directly to the surf location. Lessons are available for adults and children aged 10 years and over.
"Liquid" Training
Join us for some physical training in the idyllic environment of Bora Bora. Alone or with your family, train with a professional trainer. The program is composed of various water-based activities including; long distance swimming, lie down or stand up paddle boards, Hawaiian or Tahitian style paddling, and more.
Submarine Scooter Dive
Explore the underwater wonders of Bora Bora's picturesque lagoon during a 30-minute ride on the two-seater underwater scooter, unique to French Polynesia. Board our shuttle to Vaitape, where a motorboat will take you directly to the hydraulic scooter platform. You will be briefed on all equipment and safety procedures before you descend to a shallow depth of 3 metres (10 feet). Your dive instructor will guide you to ensure a smooth and easy underwater ride. Children must be at least 8 years old. Duration: 2 hours from Vaitape (30 minutes under the water)
Scuba Diving
Bora Bora is rated one of the best scuba diving spots in the world for both beginners and experienced divers. Extraordinary natural beauty of tropical fish and coral can be seen in the lagoon, on the outer reef's coral wall or in the deep sea beyond with Aqua Lung's most recent diving equipment. Open Water Certifications available.
Ray and Snorkel Safari
On this half-day lagoon discovery tour, you'll cruise past Mounts Otemanu and Pahia to a shallow sandbank where you'll watch the rays swimming and feeding. You'll then continue on to a pristine coral garden, where you'll snorkel in depths of four to ten feet. A full-day excursion adds a visit to a charming fisherman?s house, where you'll savour a traditional Polynesian lunch.
Reef Discovery
Explore Bora Bora's coral gardens with the help of a professional guide. Options range from beginner to advanced snorkeling; some with a short walk on the beach leading to an unspoiled islet and the island's barrier reef. Manta ray and whale watching also available (weather and lagoon conditions permitting). Maximum of 10 passengers per boat.
Fishing
Bora Bora offers excellent sportfishing opportunities all year round. You can catch Pacific blue marlin and other types of game fish including mahi mahi, wahoo, skipjack tuna, yellowfin tuna, trevally, jacks, and barracuda. Join a local fishing expert on his boat - from a 21-foot striper to a 34-foot Blackwatch - and choose shallow water, deep sea, or bottom fishing. The water conditions are generally mild. This is a private activity for one to six guests, departing at 8:30 am and according to availability and boat size. For an additional fee, our chef will be happy to prepare your catch for you to enjoy during dinner in one of our restaurants (recommended 24 hours after the excursion).
Helmet Dive
Take on an exotic underwater adventure that keeps your head dry (and lets you wear your glasses). You'll walk along the sandy bottom of the lagoon, past exotic coral formations and schools of gentle, iridescent tropical fish. A certified diving instructor will explain the safety and diving instructions; no swimming or diving experience is required. A minimum of four guests is required. Private excursions available upon request. Children must be at least 8 years old.
Snorkelling
Discover the beauty of our island's underwater marine by swimming a short distance from our shoreline. Snorkelling equipment, including masks, snorkels, fins and reef shoes, is available at the water sports centre.

Shark and Bat Ray Feeding
Don snorkels and flippers, slip into the water, and watch (from a safe distance) as Tahitian divers hand-feed black-tip reef sharks and bat rays. It's a thrilling experience for couples, groups, families and guests of all ages.

The Tamarii Club features an indoor area with a playroom, video games and a room for resting. The outdoor area boasts a playground and a shallow children?s splash pad.
Send kids on a Polynesian adventure with our Kids For All Seasons program. The supervised program creates memorable and educational experiences in a casual, fun environment. While the hub of activity is the Kids Club, also called the Tamarii Club, children quickly realize the entire Resort is their playground.
Your child?s experience begins at check-in, where children from 5 to 12 years of age receive a welcome package complete with a program of activities. The program, run by accredited instructors, offers a weekly schedule, with each day divided into activities including exercise, arts and crafts, water-based games and creative play. The majority of activities take place outdoors, with children returning to the Tamarii Club to cool off and enjoy snacks at the end of an action-packed day.

Heiva, French Polynesia's most important festival, is celebrated in a flamboyant display of traditional costumes, dance, music, crafts and sports. While the main event is in Papeete, each of the five archipelagos holds events to display their distinctive traditions, beginning at the end of June and carrying on through most of July.

Winter
Hawaiki nui va'a, French Polynesia's outrigger canoe race, is a major annual sports event. For three days, over a hundred traditional canoes race between Huahine and Bora Bora, cheered on by supporters in boats in close proximity. The excitement peaks at the finish line, where spectators welcome the winners with music and dance.
