Lachania is a picturesque village located southwest at the foot of the mountains that occupy the interior of the island, offering a panoramic view of the valleys stretching up to the sea. The village is easily accessible by car, located 73 km from the city of Rhodes and 76 km from Diagoras International Airport. Our accommodation with friendly service, offering absolute privacy and spectacular views is situated 10 meters from the sandy-pebbled beach. Parking for all types of vehicles is available on site free of charge.

Platanos traditional tavern and popular Mochito Beach Bar are located in Lachania, while other suggested restaurants and bars are only 10-15 min drive from Villa Seven at Kiotari Village.

The island of Rhodes is shaped like a spearhead, 79.7 km (49.5 mi) long and 38 km (24 mi) wide, with a total area of approximately 1,400 square kilometers (541 sq mi) and a coastline of approximately 220 km (137 mi).

Lachania village is easily accessible by car and is located 73km from the city of Rhodes and 76 km from Diagoras International Airport. During season, from April - October, many European cities offer direct flights to Rhodes. Alternatively, there are frequent domestic flights from Athens or Thessaloniki to the island throughout the year as well as a fast ferry service from Piraeus to the port of Rhodes.

Transport by taxi or hire car from Rhodes airport or port is possible and best arranged at the time of booking the accommodation.

Upon exiting the airport grounds (direction Rhodes Town) keep to your right and follow the signs to Faliraki and Lindos. This road leads you to the main Rhodes-Lindos route. Follow it until you reach a junction with traffic lights that only allow you to turn right.

This will put you on the main Rhodes-Lindos dual carriage way and take you southward along the east coast of the island towards Lindos.

After passing Kalathos, approx. 6km before the town of Lindos, pay attention: turn right when you see signs for Lardos, Kiotari and Gennadi and stay on this road until you reach Gennadi. White Village is now only 8km away. Follow the signs for Lachania and Katavia, and then, as soon as you turn towards Lachania start following the signs for Villa Athena.

• 5th May - The festivity of Aghia Eirini (St. Irene) which is marked by a church service followed by the usual cultural events and traditional dances and songs.
• The 1st weekend of August - The wheat festival.   

• This unique part of the island has an abundance of such beautiful and unexplored places, such as lush valleys, beautiful villages and isolated chapels dedicated to the saints and scenery that will take your breath away.
• Magano Museum, the production of olive oil, located in the Village of Lachania.
• Lindos village, one of the most popular destinations on the island and very well known for its particular style of architecture called ?Arhontiko? as well as the majestic ?Acropolis of Lindos?, is located only 20 km east from Lachania and is easily accessible by car.
• Prasonisi, on the very edge of the island, the very famous paradise for windsurfers and kite surfers during summer time, is located only 15 min drive south of Lachania.
• Over the years, Prasonisi has become the number one windsurfing spot and meeting point in Europe. Prasonisi is the Greek word for "Green Island" and consists of two bays, the eastern and the western, in the middle of which rests a magnificent sandy beach which by separating these, makes the landscape look absolutely fantastic.
• The eastern side of Prasonisi is ideal for swimming, while you can take your first steps in windsurfing. The west side remains mostly wavy and that is why it is considered appropriate and suitable for experienced and professional surfers. Organised surf stations exist and provide full services.
• The beautiful Monastery of Panagia Skiadeni (Virgin Mary the "Shade casting"), is located only 20 min drive southwest from Lachania.The hill is called Skiadi ("skiadi" = shady place). The monastery was founded around 1200, but the buildings that exist today date back to the 18th century, except for the chapel in the churchyard, which dates back to 1640. On the walls of the monastery of Panagia Skiadeni ancient marbles are embedded. Archaeologists believe that they come from a temple of Artemis, which pre-existed in that location. During the Lent period, the icon of Panagia Skiadeni is paraded in a procession that goes through all the villages of Rhodes. On 8th September there is a great feast in the monastery, where, besides the Rhodians, many people from Chalki also come flocking.
• Monolithos, a picturesque and historical village located 35 min southwest of Lachania, is guarded by the famous and unique Monolithos Castle dated in 1476. Monolithos is unique being the only place in Rhodes where visitors can enjoy the breathtaking views of the beautiful landscape which combines mountains, hillsides, and beaches, pine forests, historic monasteries scattered throughout the forests, a historical castle and fortress associated with fascinating history and legends. Monolithos? name was derived from the huge isolated rock that the Castle is built on, watching over the Southern Aegean waters since the 15th century, A.D.
