Overview
The villa Can Sueños is a
marvel of technology and simplistic Formentera chic, with sumptuous
furnishings and artwork throughout. Can Sueños will appeal to those
requiring modern comforts in seclusion, and to the most discerning
holiday makers.
Accommodation
This contemporary villa is lavishly furnished with an emphasis on relaxed outdoor living.
The
hub of the house is the lounge, with its comfortable sofas, and
projector screen, it has an open aspect with doors opening out onto the
large terrace, creating a fantastic living space.
To the
opposite side are the 4 queen size bedrooms, all with fine cotton
bedding, air conditioning, ensuite bathrooms and each with access to
large private outdoor terraces.
Flowing from the lounge is the
open plan kitchen with all the modern conveniences and large dining
table, fashioned from a solid piece of wood and seating for 12.
The
villa is equipped with a sound system throughout for listening to your
music wherever you are in the house, or even when you are outside. There
is satellite tv in the lounge and each bedroom, and limited wifi due to
location.
Outdoor living is the emphasis at this private
formentera villa. Its has a sundeck terrace on top of the casa with
stunning panoramic views and plunge pool for cooling off.
The
large covered terrace off the lounge provides a fantastic space for
dining with a view and includes a large chillout space with central
fireplace, while numerous chillout zones and hammocks are scattered
around the grounds of the house to make the most of the Formentera sun.
The chillout zones all have many comfortable cushions for
lounging on and there are also 2 outdoor baths for making most of the
starry skies while having a twilight soak.

How to get to Formentera
Formentera is located a short ferry trip away, just off the coast of Ibiza.Being a small island, Formentera does not have an airport, making it accessible only by boat from Ibiza or Ferries from Denia to Formentera.
Surprisingly there is a good selection of boat services to and from Formentera, with many leaving on an hourly basis in summer. Most boats leave from the main port in Ibiza and take around half an hour to reach the port of La Savina in Formentera.
A supermarket, cash machine, bars and restaurants are just 2 km away in the town of La Mola and the nearest beach is located at Es calo, around 6.5 km away.
Activities
Your
villa manager will have a wealth of information about places of
interest and will help arrange transport and make any bookings required.
Do also ask the staff about the area too. Most will live nearby and can
give an interesting insight into some of the fascinating aspects of
local life...
Welcome to Formentera, this little known jewel of
the Balearics is the perfect place to unwind and find yourself again,
and with fantastic views, great food and dazzling white sandy beaches,
you'll never want to leave.
It has no less than 12 fantastic sandy
beaches to soak up the sun on. During the peak summer months it can get a
little crowded, but usually you can find your own piece of beach away
from other tourists. And if you're feeling peckish, you can get a snack
or drink from one of the many chiringuitos (beach bars) scattered around
the island.
The smallest and least developed of all the Balearic
islands Formentera has an area of just 83 square kilometers, and a
coastline of 69km making it perfect for exploring by kayak or boat.
This idyllic island also has a number of excellent short walks, some
with breathtaking views across to Ibiza (try the old roman path up La
Mola), and has many pleasant cycling trails on which to explore the
island. Bicycles, mopeds and cars can be rented from numerous places
scattered around, including the port of La Savina.
Formentera's
capital is the pretty whitewashed village of Sant Francesc Xavier. With
its various boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants, it is the perfect
place for a spot of shopping, lounging over lunch or just sitting in one
of the lovely plazas and watching the world go by.
Whether its
shopping, eating, drinking, exploring or just sunbathing you're after,
Formentera has a little bit of it all, and if your idea of heaven
includes all of these plus crystal clear turquoise waters, then consider
it paradise found.
On the land
Formentera Walks
Most people come to Formentera to relax and chill on a beach but for some, exploring your surroundings and getting out close to nature is what a holiday is all about.And for those people, Formentera does not disappoint. Having 69km of coastline means this island has many walks that are close to or indeed right beside the ocean, affording stunning views at every step. Heres a run down on a few walks around Formentera, for the adventurous and the not so adventurous.

Horsing
The
mild year-round climate, the terrain and wild landscape of Formentera,
make the island an ideal location for horseback trekking. The island of
Formentera offers pathways through the pine and juniper forests, a lunar
landscape in the rocky area of Can Marroig, the smell of aromatic
bushes accompanying our senses as we travel down the footpaths, the
Estany des Peix and its colours, composing an infinite rainbow of
colour.

Snorkelling
Formentera beaches are not renowned for offering outstanding snorkelling opportunities, but a few spots around the island offer decent underwater landscapes filled with tropical marine life. Most of these interesting skin diving sites are located in small or hidden coves, so getting to them to enjoy a swim in an aquarium-like environment is something of an exciting soft-adventurous journey off the beaten track.
